What is your most useful knife?

The little SAK on my keychain, the Victorinox Cadet in my front left pocket, and whatever EDC is in the rotation clipped to front right pocket...Spyderco Delica in G-10 has been seeing the most pocket time as of late.

These days my Emerson 7A in my pocket. I have been cutting and slashing cardboard carpet and even drywall. In the woods my CGFBM, it is always clearing paths and working around the house and cottage.

Not exactly a knife but gets a lot of use these days is my modified S.O.G. Hawk. I use it where a knife may be injured.

My most useful knife is probably my small Sebenza. I have it on me now.

What he said. The small Sebbie is all the knife I need most of the time. It depends on what you mean by "most useful". For everyday, general, light cutting, the Sebenza is the bees knees. When I need something a little bigger, I move to my RAT RC-4. Anything bigger than that, and my FBMLE gets the nod. The big gun is the NMFBM. When that bad boy comes out to play, LOOK OUT!

Delica and Endura. The former is about the perfect size and feel for EDC (for me), and the Endura can't be beat for packing a big blade in a thin, pocketable package.

I would have to say my Para Military S30V is my most used knife. It does everything that I ask of it.

I forgot to mention the Leatherman Wave. That thing does come in handy. I put together a toybox and large chest of drawers from IKEA over the weekend, using nothing but my Wave and RC-4. It worked just fine. The Wave was the screwdriver, and the RC-4 was the hammer.

I forgot that I had left all of my tools in my office, and didn't feel like driving across town to fetch 'em. Turns out, the RC-4 makes a handy little hammer if you keep in the sheath and swing it by the blade. I scratched up the G-10 a little bit, but after driving a few dozen small nails, the coating on the blade wasn't even scuffed.

Well, I'm really just entering the knife-collecting world. I plan on picking up a Spyderco H1 Ladybug as my EDC. Right now, my Victorinox Cadet is my EDC knife. :p

Stupid question: How do you maintain your Tenacious if you use it for cutting food? In other words, do you put Tuf Glide or anything on the blade?

Use mineral oil; cheap, easily available and totally food-safe.

The most useful knife I have is the one that is in my pocket at the moment. Right now it's a GEC #23 with tractor-red bone scales. Tomorrow, who knows..?

That would be my most carried knife and that is one of my Militarys. Probably one of my Oranges since one has been my companion for a month straight now, a record for me.

Most useful = Vic Spirit multitool paired with one of the following:

BRKT Mini Canadian, Buck Smidgen

i'd have to say my kukri is the most useful. i use it for everything from buttering bread to scaring jehovah's witness away

Have been carrying a Swiss Army Camper for 20 years (same knife). Always in my pocket and lately been carrying a Spyderco Tenacious with it. The Tenacious gets rotated out, but never the Camper.

There are alot of knives I consider very useful, but if I had to pick one I would say it's the Spyderco CF/ZDP Caly 3. A fantastic folder and EDC, although I've never had to put it through any serious use yet. The steel is fantastic, the lock is strong, the ergonomics are almost perfect, and IMHO it's an attractive little knife with the CF scales.

Probably that Camillus Rough Cut Stockman that knarfeng gave me. I never really understood how useful it is to have three different blades specialized for unique tasks.
