  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What is your opinion on colorful g10/glass fiber rods as knife handle pins?

If one were going to the trouble to use pins, why not use metal pins that are peened into place?
This method has worked for hundreds of years and is much stronger than gluing composite or wooden pins in place.

I agree with this 100%. Why would you take the time to make a handmade knife and rely on only the epoxy to hold everything without any means of mechanical fastening? Even the best epoxies are subject to failure from extreme temperature, shock & moisture conditions. Peening works!

G10/glass fiber rods have many different colors including many shades of brown, grey, or other more conservative colors. Sorry I did not use many others as examples.
