I only have one recurved blade, and it's a small one: SOG Visionary I. It slices great, I like it a lot. I'm thinking on getting more recurves on the future.
The only recurve I own presently is my 710, and I dig it ..... Great slicer, and easy to sharpen, in my opinion.... All around exceptional knife!
+1 for the 710, making me love recurves. The recurves makes it a much more aggressive slicer.
Also the ZT 0350 is great.
Only you need a rod sharpener and a strop to get a good edge (or an edge pro/ WE) but if you use regular stones they won't work.
But the sharpmaker works great
My opinion...
The reason there are so many recurves on the market is because they really do cut well.
I try to avoid them typically (little pickier to sharpen), but many of my totally unverifiable cut tests have really made recurves look good on the job, especially when a blade dulls.
