Well most of my knives are pretty :
Pretty sharp
Pretty inexpensive
Pretty common (at least until I start cutting pieces off of them and thinning the blades)
Well . . . OK this one below I only bought because I simply could not live without being able to look at the scales when ever I wanted to, I found that just a photo was not going to do it either, I needed to have these gorgeous scales in my sweaty paws.
After buying three of them and sending two back . . . and fixing this one . . .
. . . well . . . it's in the eye of the beholder but this eye loves to behold this knife.
Well made ? HAH !
But with enough cutting and grinding I think we now have a user; which is a WINNER for me.
Also this is my first large Stockman ( I have many medium stockman's) It really is a very, very useful size. Carries in the pocket yet large enough to do something with. I prefer a full size Trapper (large enough to slice up an apple; the Stockman isn't) but the trapper requires a belt pouch. I still carry Trappers A LOT.
I attempted to photograph the Maroon / Red / Cranberry (?) smooth bone. It has such a nice translucence without being just clear red plastic. The deepness of the color gets darker near the middle without being black or grey or muddy.
Yeah . . . I like gazing at this one. Not expensive enough to even pay the sales tax on some of your knives but I like it.

What the heck . . . two more :
This first one is pretty because of how well it cuts things in half. I mean it is just a frightening knife to use.

And this one below is pretty because of how useful the handle is and after thinning out the blade a whole bunch it is pretty because of how much I just love using it . . . handle and blade. Speaking of handles the Japanese great cutter above (which I call my Little Monster) just has a handle that sucks and the ferrule only stops rattling around (temporarily) while the wood is wet and swollen up. and I haven't made a sheath for it YET ! so it stays on the kitchen cutting board.
