What is your prettiest knife?

Oh man . . . is that box wood ? I'm such a sucker for box wood. I hardly see it in a knife handle.

What steel ? Plain high carbon ?

It is curly birch I think. And the steel is 52100. You can read even more on the knife here, It's entirely handmade, sheath and all, by finnish blacksmith Martti Malinen:

Today's pretty is the Wilson Combat Fox Extreme Lite Carry in cocobolo. Nice graining on the scales contrasting with the polish on the N690C blade. I'm a big fan of fluted grips in general and the WC Starburst pattern in particular. This one's a souvenir of a family trip to Barcelona a few years ago, bought at a beautiful old-school cutlery there--Ganiveteria Roca in the Placa del Pi. We also picked up a small front-flipper feather knife from Viper for my wife there. I'll have to get some pics of that little beauty to add here as well.

Now that's a handsome knife.

Here's the other knife from our Barcelona trip that I mentioned a couple days back--my wife's Viper Drop feather knife. This is a cool little pice with a front flipper that doesn't really flip but does open one-handed, the tab becoming a thumb ramp in the opened position. Really nice F&F with a super sharp Sandvik 12C27 blade, open back construction, and a liner lock. I just wish some makers didn't feel the need to turn their blades into billboards.
