What is your size of your hand? Is it too big for most knife handles?

My hand is 8" inches long from tip to tip. I consider myself to have medium sized hands, but most knife handles I find too small. I'd like to do a survey on hand size for members of this forum.

Please post measurements on the size of your hand.
 
My hand is 8" long as well, and fairly wide. I have found that even though some handles seem too small, the well designed ones grow on me (figuratively), so not many small handles bother me much.
 
8.75. I usually try to get 2xl gloves but usually settle for xl ones. I actually have a small hand given my size (6'7"ish, 290 lbs).

I wish more handles were beefier, but I tend not to hold my EDC knives for long periods of time. On smaller knives, like my Boker Subcom, I put fobs thru the lanyard holes to get a little more "handle".
 
About 7" from the tip of my middle finger to the base of my palm. 8 7/8" hand span and I'm 5'10" tall.
 
8" from base of palm to tip of middle finger for myself. The problem that I run into is that I have rather wide hands.
 
About a 7.5 inch hand, wide though.

I think the "tactical" trend was good, as wider knife handles are more common now - at least in comparison to the old slip-joints I had in my youth. Still find most knife handles too short, though.

I like a 4-5 inch long handle, even with shorter blades. Its a control issue.
 
8" from tip to base here too.

4" across the knuckles.

ive got a 7.5 inch hand and with pretty beefy fingers, im not fat mind you:D, but most medium sized folders fit in me hand perfectly.
 
About 8" from tip of my middle finger to palm and about 3 1/2" wide (index to pinky).
 
My hand measures 7.5" and I prefer a knife with a nice beefy handle (Benchmade Griptilian, Buck 110, Spyderco Military....).
 
I wear large gloves, but i like my gloves quite tight. I have larger hands but ot huge. I find knives usually have too small of handles fr perfect comfort. Its why I carry larger knives like the bm 710 or large sebenza. They fit my hand perfectly. Actually the spyderco para fits me well too:)
 
Big hands, over 8 inches. I find many knife handles on the small side. People note that I make my knife handles larger than most other knives they have held.
 
8" wrist crease to tip of middle finger, 3 1/2" across knuckles. What is tip to tip - thumb tip to pinky tip? If so, 9"
 
I'm definately on the small end 7.1" so most knives feel comfortable to me. The largest knife handle I use is my Military and my hand feels right at home. I do have thick hands though.
 
Hmm I have small hands. 7" from the tip of my middle finger to the bottom o my palm. Then again I'm a small guy. Only 5'5" tall. Damn vietnamese blood made me small. Haha
 
7.75" I have small hands in that the fingers are long and thin, I find over large knife handles clumsy therefore. Mind you, it's got more to do with flexibility and dexterity of grip rather than sheer hand size. I hate wearing gloves unless I have to, but, that's why we invented puukko handles in Scandinavia!
 
Palm to middle finger tip is 8", width at the knuckles is 3.75", span is 9".

I tend to like my handles long and wide, the way Jerry Hossom does them is just fine by me (and he has BIG hands).
