What is your work EDC and what is your nights/weekend EDC?

For those of you like me that have a separate work and play EDC, what do you carry?

For work I prefer less expensive knives because I use them much harder and I am more likely to lose or break them. Right now the work EDC is a Spyderco Endura CE but I am not overly impressed with it. I don't like tip down carry and I prefer flat ground blades. I do like CE for work and will probably get another CE knife to replace the Endura when the time comes.

For weekends and other times, I carry either an Al Mar Shrike or a Spyderco Massad Ayoob. Both are top notch knives that are worth more than they cost. Great knives and pretty.

Since I work on weekends, my weekend carry is my work carry:
A Spyderco Meerkat.
It's all I need at the hospital and it does'nt freak folks out, not to mention the Phantom Lock is just fun to play with and confuse my friends.

Away from work:
It varies quite a bit, but lately it's been my Spyderco Atlantic Salt and my Camillus EDC.

Cheers,
Allen.

During the week, I just carry the Spyderco Calypso, Jr. ZDP. When I am working my pm PT job, I carry: Kahr Elite 98 9mm, double mag pouch. In my front pocket, I have my Instigator. In my left pocket, I have my Caly. I always have my Atwood Prybaby on me, always, along with an Atwood tactical whistle. I am waiting for my ARC Premium to arrive. OK, on weekends, Caly, Jr, Instigator, and Sebbie. Also, on my key chain, I have an ASP Elite flashlight. On weekends, I also usually carry a little something that goes BOOM.

Nothing fancy for me day to day. Just a CF M16 or Spyderco Dragonfly SS. At work , I add a Leatherman Pulse and have a Spyderco Rescue Snap-it on my turnout gear.

Work-SNG, play-SNG. Next month it will be a DDR custom full time. The SNG will go into hiding.

... or you could send it to me...

Carry is a Piranha S30V Bodyguard. For work and play, since work is actually easier than play.

At work a Manix in the same pocket as a SAK (any one of a number of models rotated every couple of months), separated by a folded up bandana. Right now the SAK is a Super Tinker.

When I get home, on go the jogging shorts or (in cold weather) sweats, with a Military in the pocket. I like this for light clothing (and jogging) because it's so light and doesn't flop around as much.

I don't distinguish between working and weekends because most of my EDCs are not real scary. I rotate a Benchmade 690, Spyderco Lum Chinese, Benchmade Mini-Skirmish, and Small Regular Sebenza. I carry the Lum to the office when I wear slacks due to it's light weight, but one of the others when I'm in jeans.

I use my dodo at work cause it's so good for trimming boxes and other work related stuff. I have my pacific salt (PE) for lunch use. I usually have my SAK in my bag as well, I use the tweezers a lot and also the magnifying glass and scissors.

Off work it could be anything else, delica, benchmade 705, endura, kershaw leek, EZ out, it just depends.

My "all the time" EDC are these 4:

Benchmade 805 (or 805s).
Benchmade 721s.
SOG Deluxe Pocket PowerPlier.
SOG Crosscut.

I work in an office environment, so I carry a Mnandi, the perfect offcie EDC. On weekends, I'll usually continue with the Mnandi or switch to my Spyderco Caly Jr., grey or burgundy depending on my mood.

I try to mix it up and use all of my knives, but I do tend to use more rugged knives for work and carry my nicer or more fancy knives outside of work. Work also allows me to carry larger knives and fixed blades without freaking anyone out, since most people I work with also carry knives. While I can carry those knives in daily life, I don't want to scare anyone. I am also planning on getting a butterfly knife and a switchblade. Those will be for work as I can't really use them in public.

For example, I use a Buck 119, Buck 110, and Victorinox Super Tinker at work a lot. While the 110 looks fancy, it is very rugged. These 3 knives are knives that look good with some battle scars on them. I don't mind them getting a little dirty or a little scraped up.

On the other hand, I have a Spyderco Native and a Hen and Rooster Stilletto. The Native is a great worker, but I like to keep it clean and sharp. I have used it at work, but I'd rather get my Super Tinker dirty than my Native. And the Hen and Rooster is just more of a looker than a worker.

I work in the packaging department at a news paper. I have to cut plastic wrap, plastic straps, tape, and cardboard. I work the graveyard shift, so SD is an issue as well (when I walk down the street on break). The whole warehouse is dirty as hell.

At work, I carry a Victorinox Mini Swiss Champ(it's the only thing I can sneak in through the metal detectors).

At home, my EDCs revolve around several. Buck/Strider BG42 Spearpoint, Spyderco Carbon Fiber Police, Spyderco "R".

Day to day I carry a Spydie Navigator. At work my Navigator is in my pocket, and my D'allara is in my bunker gear.

Right now I'm working as a wilderness/hunting guide, so I get to carry all sorts of stuff! I probably carry more blades and guns at work than on my off time.

I'm also a SAR volunteer, so I haul around a good FAK and trauma kit as well as a couple of PSKs all the time.

When I'm in class at the university I usually carry a Spyderco of some sort (usually a Para or a Viele) and a SAK. I keep a SwissTool in my backpack with the FAKs and PSKs all the time.

Today I'm just goofing around, no work or classes. I have a Victorinox Climber, a Falkniven WM-1 in a brand new leather sheath I made and a Spyderco Native. And of course, my pack full of extra goodies.

School Sebbie, Work Tarani, weekends Willian Henry or Sebbie. I always have a back up sak or somethin on me.

For me, my most highly used during the week days are my Spyderco/FRN/PE Delica and BM -Mini Grip and Ka-Bar/Dozier Folding Hunter, depending on the week. This is by no means what I "carry":D If I'm expecting servers/pc's into the test center, than I'll add a larger folder like a Paramilitary, Griptillian or whatever, for taking down boxes. In the evenings, it depends on what I'm doing - it can be, and usually is my day stuff plus...Byrd Meadowlark, or a junker if I'm scraping epoxy, to something like a Gerber EZ-OUT/Gator if I'm in the yard. Weekends can be all over the place depending on what I'm doing. Right from folders to fixed blades. This week, I have way more than normal because I also have a BM530 and Camillus Blaze with me as well. And then, of course, there's the "stuff" I have in my Maxpedition:D
