I am looking to tune up my EDC kit. What kinds of things can be kept in an average size wallet and not make it too bulky? Besides the usual couple of credit cards, cash, I have a Fresnel lens and a few bandaids. Any Cal. mentioned folded up wax paper for tinder sounds like a great idea. I read about sandpaper for edge maintenance what grit would be good or is there something flat that is better?
I do have other items on my person - keyring has (small SAK, firesteel, Photon, p38 opener, bison whistle). Also, in my pockets are a handkerchief, larger SAK, aaa led flashlight (gerber sonic), leather coin pouch (with mini-bic, safety pins, spare aaa battery, odd/ends), Bandana, comb and cell phone. Pen goes in the shirt pocket.
I also carry a backpack that has a lot more stuff (water bottle, purify tabs, first aid kit, ham and am/fm radios, work gloves, etc.), but this is not always within my immediate grasp.
What else can I squeeze in to the wallet or elsewhere in my pockets that doesnt take up a lot of room but has some utility? At work, I have to wear docker-type pants or occasionally a suit. Yes, I work in a large office building and live in the suburbs, so not out in the woods on a regular day.
Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions!
Fred
