What items fit in Wallet for EDC?

eze lap credit card sized diamond knife sharpener set (one 400grit, one 1200grit)
and a Victorinox swiss card.
The mirror and the small ferro rod sound like a good idea as well.

+1 for the victorinox swisscard. it fits inside my trifold wallet, about a thick as two credit cards and has many of the same items as a regular sak a very un threatning item that dosen't raise any eye brows because most people don't know what it is, a good item for when nothing else is available or wise to carry

Interesting! but how thick is it? For its size it seems kinda heavy (3.3 ounces), thats the same weight as my Schrade Stockman.
So is the spydercard discontinued or just out of stock?
Despite the weight they still look kinda cool.
Hmmm I just weighed my eze lap credit card sized diamond stone set, its around 3 ounces also. My swisscard is an ounce.
My Wallet with sharpening stones plus swisscard is about 7 ounces.

I polished the back of my sharpener, and it now doubles as a signal mirror. It saves room for other essentials in the small space of a wallet.
Neat idea, what did you use to polish the back? I just tried using never-dull, flitz and steel wool without much result.

a tension wrench and a half diamond lock pick, they have come in handy on more than one occasion.

I would check state laws before carrying the lock pick. If you know what you are trying to accomplish, you can build the stuff out of field expedient tools. If you don't, the tools won't help you.

I have a tiny ferro rod (2"x 1/8") that I bought off Ron Hood's site.

That looks like it will fill my wish to get a firesteel built into an SAK scale. I think I could drill a lengthwise hole in one scale of my SAK Trekker that could fit a 1/8" rod. Too bad someone doesn't make one that would fit in place of an SAK toothpick.

a condom will fit in a wallet.

Presuming you want it for water, skip the flavored/lubed ones :barf: :D

I don't EDC as much stuff as most of you guys, but I do keep a Coghlan's 4-purpose whistle in my jacket. No, neither the whistle or compass is the greatest, but it's about the size of your thumb and has a handy little lens and thermometer in it. Not really for your wallet, though...

Don't forget the proverbial "emergency $50" (Actually two 20's and a ten, easier to break) tucked away where you won't piss it away too readily. Comes in handy, not only in "survival" mode.

In another thread recently, folks were talking about multi-tools and folders... I had no idea I was carrying burglary tools all this time! That's a chance I'll just have to take; my Blast is actually starting to show signs of wear from frequent use, that tells me I need it :D

I read in a thread here a while back that some people carry the Douk-Douk (the smallest version) in their wallets.
Its certainly thin and short enough.
I already have the full sized douk-douk which i like very much.
When i make an order from EDC i'll have to get the small one too and try it out.
Currently i carry a swisscard and an eze-lap credit card sized sharpener.
I think you could fit one of those small ferro rods in there too.
I just saw the new swisscard, now it has an LED and a magnifier!
I may need to upgrade,lol!
I bought one of those starflash mirrors, its great but way too thick for a wallet!
Anybody know a good make of survival mirror thin enough for wallet carry?

I would recommend #3 glovers needles, a "regular" needle, some floss, and some xacto blades

I just bought a product called "Tinder Card." I haven't tried it yet, but it certainly would pack easily in a wallet. For cordage in this application, I think dental floss would be hard to beat.

I just found an old Coughlans polycarbonate mirror. Used a sharpie to trace credit card dimensions on the back, cut with dremel cutting wheel, rounded off the edges with fine sandpaper and voila credit card mirror.
Not as nice/refined as the starflash but it will work in a pinch. Not bad for less than 10 minutes work, lol.

Yeah, they could...but...

I would check state laws before carrying the lock pick.

That's obviously excellent advice if you don't want to end up washing some dude's socks in the county detention center where you live. :D

This is also true but a lot of people that say it imagine they are skilled as well. Not talking about you, per se, but some people just think you wiggle metal in a keyway and shit happens.

Do you think a survival book that covered these types of topics would also be popular?

I wrote about really inexpensive knives for carry overseas, obtaining them overseas because you cannot carry the latest, greatest, biggest, bestest and baddest you can get here...I cannot remember if I wrote about inclusion in a wallet, but Fred Perrin told me about that as well.

One good thing i do is to get one of those velcro patches (similar to the one being designed). It has to be the velcro version though - all you need to do is place flat objects in it. I placed a thin piece of carbon steel(striker), 2 heavy duty needles, 3 large safety pins, 2 hooks and 2 lengths of fishing line.
All of this should lie pretty flat.
