What JK Knife Do you Really Want?

Nice choice. People who have been around for a while know there is a reason I ask this type of question.

Well, lately I've been eying medium to medium large blades, and there are 2 of yours that stick out. I would really like to try out a kephart. I've never used that pattern, and you make a beautiful one. But if I could choose only 1 I would probabely go with the scout jr. The size seems about perfect, and the handle shape is really nicely done.

The next JK knife I have been thinking about is the Toby's knife in stainless. I was thinking it would work well for kitchen duties and my wife would be using it also so stainless to be easier to care for.

If I had the money to buy one JK Knife, it'd be the Kentucky Fieldmate. I've had my eye on that one for a while. Just love the simple and user friendly design. It would make for a great EDC and companion for use in hunting and fishing. I really like that one!

Right now, I cant keep my eyes off the Personal Camp knife in Osage.
Such an awesome blade and those bright wooden handles are icing on the cake!

Or one of the Element Series knives because it falls in between my Tool (larger) and Pooka (smaller).

I would have to go with an Element O1 Outdoors Knife with micarta scales. I've wanted one because it is the exact size and blade style I find perfect for hiking and camping plus I would like to finally try one of your larger knives.

Your Sauk Trail knife is outstanding. Not too big, not too small; just right for many tasks. Handle very comfortable.

For anyone that hasn't had John make a knife of their own design, I highly recommend the experience. It's very cool to see your sketch come to life!

The small Canadian neck knife is the one that speaks to me. Looks like a knife made to carry every day.

http://www.jkhandmadeknives.com/apps/photos/photo?photoid=193523627 I know it's a customer designed, but the look of it is amazing. I like the raised spot for the thumb, the grind is beautiful, the size looks perfect. Just an all around attractive piece imo.

I like how you think! That is a great choice, and a GREAT all around knife.

I'd be thrilled to have a friction folder - something that can actually (legally) be carried and used every day here in anti-fixed blade land.
