I just seen one of those online at a dealer for$139. cool knife.

Already so many pics, these are probably redundant. But here is 281/315. Now lets hope that I have navigated Photobucket properly.

Telechronos

Thank you, Tele, it is nice to see that gorgeous nive. Other than mine it is in top condition.

Best,
Haebbie

Sorry to disappoint, but no bench grinders were used. The bead blasted finished just showed the wear, that normally comes with sharpening, more than a polished one. And yes, I do use them when I buy them, even this one. Glad you like the knife. I was not the seller, but it was sold for me on E-bay by another.

Did not mean to insult... I was not talking about this knife, it appeared that the sharpening was not consistent. I think it could be smoothed out.

However, I've seen 110's for sale that were missing half the blade!!

It's o.k. Meadhall. The knife is great and I like it. With a little work it is possible to make it pretty nice again. In the first moment, when you open the parcel, you are somewhat disappionted if the knife doesn't look like you expected. But it doesn't matter, I am able to live with that ;-).

Best,

Good for you Herbert! That is a great, mature attitude you have there. We ALL have had that feeling opening a box of a pre-enjoyed knife at some point. You know how to collect. By the way, how did you get a 124 white micarta clear over there???? I am sure no disappointments caressing that girl!

Hi gd526,

thank you for the flowers. I get angry if somebody conceals damages, not else.

The white beauty I found at german auktioneer. I had two of them, but one I gave away. Just yesterday I had the other one it in my Hand. It's a masterpiece of knife making. Terrific! As Joe wrote, the white handle 124 was made for the European market, so it would be not so easy to find one in the U. S. But did you see the white 119 Scott Hartman showed it the picture thread? it looks unbelievable.

Best regards,
Haebbie

Yes Haebbie, I did see Scott's ivory 119 and in a word...WOW! Stirs the soul doesn't it? I was not aware the white micarta ( and presumably Corians) were made for the European market. Thanks for that tip as some information doesn't seem to get under the rock I tend to live beneath. Now I need to inquire of our Friend Joe more specifics on the matter....unless 'hkingdom' or 'E in triplicate' happens to shed some more light on this for little ole me. How 'bout it folks....any one sitting on a likely link or having memorized knowledge to bring me up to speed on all things white 124? Production of 250white micartas and 266 with Corian in/or around '91, that I have been told.

Sorry GD,
I can't divulge that information until you give the secret handshake... :D

I just checked my records and 1990 we made an order of 250 model 124's, model number 0124-WM-0, with white micarta handles and mirror polished blades. Cat. # 8081

Then in 1991 we made an order of 300 model 124's, model number 0124-WC-0, with "bone colored" white corian handles and mirror polished blades. Cat. # 8014 The computer only shows that we sold 266 but in all likelyhood, all 300 were made.

One or both of these projects were made for the European market so most likely they were all shipped out of the US.
I hope this helps.

Were these white 124s made to fulfill certain contracts, Special projects, or just white variations (stunning as they are) and European only, Joe?

And of course, a benefit of Europe is that "we" have Haebbie here.
Our voice from The Continent. :)

Haebbie has some sort of radar for finding cool and unusual Buck knives. I don't know how he does it but I'm glad he's here to share pics with us all
