Being a dealer with Fiddleback I on occasion call Andy with various questions, concerns, input and sometimes just to check in! Yesterday when I called, I had some questions about something that I had apparently misunderstood. Andy and Fiddleback had done nothing wrong, but yet Andy still asked "what He could do to make it right?" I was dumbfounded. While I consider Andy to be a friend, business is business. He had done nothing wrong but still wanted to make up to me for a mistake that I had made.

I consider the knife industry to be made up of 99% just damn good people, but still in my few years of business, have I ever been treated this way. The guy puts customer service and treating people right above all else.

My response to Andy's question of "what can I do to make it right?" Was a 10 second pause and then "nothing, you did nothing wrong!" I just had to share this quick story. I talk to several of you on the phone, on this forum and on email from time to time. I have constantly said that Andy has great business skills and understands Customs Service like no one I have ever seen. Once again yesterday he proved my point!

Just had to share!

Andy and crew, keep up the great work!

Respectfully,

Whitty

Scott,

You are sooooo right! Andy has the gift of friendly and courteous communication. He is a good dude! 100% good guy! He always goes above and beyond to do the right thing! This makes his tools even more special to me!

Thank you Whitty!

Thank you Andy!

Just another reason I'm so darn proud to be carrying a Fiddleback. (EDC II today)

There are many interesting anecdotes about Andy...

His passport requires no photograph
Once a rattlesnake bit him, after 5 days of excruciating pain, the snake finally died
Superman has pijamas with his logo
He has never waited 15 minutes after finishing a meal before returning to the pool
When a tree falls in a forest and no one is there, he hears it
Sharks have a week dedicated to him
He bowls overhanded
In museums, he is allowed to touch the art
He is allowed to talk about the fight club...

Oooh Ill play, I love these!

When Andy does push ups he grabs the earth and pulls it towards him.

Andy once urinated in a semi trucks gas tank...the truck is now known as Optimus Prime.

Andy has a bear skin rug in his bedroom, the bear isn't dead it's just afraid to move.

Andy doesn't call the wrong number, you answer the wrong phone.

When Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone he had 3 missed phone calls from Andy!

Some magicians can walk on water, Andy can swim on land!

Andy can win a game of connect four in only three moves!

Andy's hand is the only hand that can beat a royal flush!

Thanks for the support guys, but keep in mind that I fail at customer service too. This has happened several times. And as a human, if I've grown to be a good one, and I am trying, it was wading through bad decisionmaking that got me here.

I do love making knives for this community. It is where my heart is. Thank you for the pat on the back Whitt.

Andy recently visited The Virgin Islands.
Now they just call them The Islands.

Great story Whitty! Though I've never met Andy, the inputs he's shared on the forum as well as the few PMs I've exchanged with him in the past have led me to know that he's a man of integrity.

BTW, Whitty's a great guy as well. Have had an issue with one knife from his shop in the past, and he was so quick and eager to rectify to situation.

Look up customer service in the dictionary and you will see Andy's Picture!

Keep up the great work and keep sending me knives:D!
