Hello,

What kind of scales or handles would you say these are? , I have been told that they are honey bone scales but I have seen other knives that people say are honey bone and look nothing like these, so any help would be appreciated..... :)

Hard to tell without a larger picture of the handles, but they appear to be bone. Seen alot of Queen and Al Mar knives with that shade of bone.

The perpendicular style jigged pattern on them is something you see a lot on ram (or buffalo) horn handles, so maybe that's the confusing part?--Honey colored bone jigged to appear to be ram horn?

I've scaled a couple of knives with "Honey Horn", the color is similar to yours but they weren't jigged. Honey horn, if I recall correctly, is from the water buffalo, probably India, a honey colored variation other than the black we typically see.

Having said that, you're knives look more like bone to me than horn. Horn doesn't seem to have the flecks, pinholes, that bone does. The far right, drop point, in your pic looks more like bone than horn......don't know tho'....just guessin'....

Can you give the model number/date code for them? I might be able to track them down with that.

Thanks again,
