ive never put a bevel on a knife before and I'm starting my own Bowie knife I've looked at several different types of bevels and how to make them but I was wondering if anyone has ever used the bevel that white bone knives has for sale? I'll post a link to it and hope to hear some info!

The jig you've referenced has it's limitations. After trying several jigs over the last few years I've found that the human body as a jig gives you the capacity for infinite adjustment in every plane. It can't be beat and if you want to make knives your best bet is to start practicing with it from the get go.

I own one of these. It works well and you can do micro adjustments. It is fast to adjust both sides of the blade. The wait is 6 weeks for the jig.

I also like the bio-articulated jig. I find it works best with my feet placed about 12" apart. I have found it useful for many non-knife related tasks, too. A few of the ten adjustable blade holders have been damaged over the years ( mostly due to my carelessness), but mine has been going strong for nearly 70 years.

make a basic jig using 2" steel angle. two ways to go. drill and taps holes on one side where you can mount blade with screws thru the tang. adjust angle by either setting platen to required angle relative to tool rest on your grinder or drill and tap 6 holes on opposite side of angle, use screws to set angle relative to platen.

When I do want a jig to set bevel, I'll use a pair of 1-2-3 blocks and clamp blade between the two blocks. Then set the angle by tilting the platen relative to tool rest. Cheap, easy, and works as well (or better) than most commercial jigs.
