What kind of knife is this?

I received this Dagger as a gift. I have no idea what kind of dagger it is, or who it's made by. It has no manufacturer's markings or any other identifiable symbols. An information on the type of knife (I'm guessing it's from the Middle East based on the curved design) or potential manufacturers is appreciated.

But if it has a curved blade then I wouldn't think it would be a dagger, and If it doesn't appear to be a very old knife then it's most likely a tourist piece or a cheapo import from Pakistan ( could still be such even if it is old )
