What kind of knife is this?

These are palette knives for painting. I had never heard of them. View attachment 1952690

Eureka!

Thanks everyone.

I use mine on every knife. A drop of ca temporarily holds scales together for drill press and I wedge it apart with a soft hammer strike on the pommel after they have pinholes.

Painters like Van Gogh used these on many of his paintings. This is why they are sort of 3 dimensional when seen in person
You jarred my memory. I seem to remember Bob Ross using something similar to make his happy trees.

Putty knife

They throw pretty well until the handle breaks. They can be used to chisel up adhesive under tiles and linoleum until the handle breaks. You can usually sharpen them on a brick as well. I was a dip___ in my younger years.

Someone posted a “what knife is this?” A couple years ago? It took a while to figure out, it was a skinning knife made out of a putty knife. The thing is there was more than one example with the same shape. The conclusion was the modification had been published somewhere so it was done multiple times. Anyone remember the specifics?
