What kind of knife would you use to cut aluminum cans?

How about a pair of small tin snips, the sheer type used for cutting aluminum flashing. I would guess that you could find a pair at the hardware store for about $10.
 
I would use a cheap Frost Cutlery knife so that if something happened, I wouldn't be out much. But on the other hand, I don't carry such a knife and would use what I have if I need to. Aluminum cans aren't very tough. Steel cans are a bit more of a challenge, but it was standard fare to open a can of beans or two deer hunting and warm them at the edge of a fire.
