What kind of metal file to re-profile a bevel?

Here is the fastest and easiest route I have chosen for reprofiling a bevel: I use the ken onion worksharp with the blade grind attachment. I took 50 grit and 80 grit 3" x 18" sanding belts from Home Depot and split them into 3 strips each. I use that combination to take a lot of metal off fast. You would have to be mindful of the heat generated via pressure and speed and have some water to avoid overheating and burning the edge.

After that, then I use a DMT Extra Extra Coarse diamond plate and Extra Coarse diamond plate to flatten the bevel as the belt gives a convex bevel.

Sure if you want to talk fast material removal, use a grinder, but the heat becomes an issue, if it isn't cooled.

Yes coarse grit power grinding is the fastest way to remove metal, but it's also the least forgiving.
