What kind of modern pocket folders have strong tips?

The Para2 can be found for another $10 or so over your budget. The stronger tip is the reason I carry it instead of my Military.

I pulled out my CRKT Folding Razel today. It is one beefy folder and I had used it plenty while building my house. Scrapping, prying open paint cans, opening up bags of cement, and cutting 4" PVC pipe. I even cut into a 55 gallon drum's lid. It has an point that is about 75 deg. It's the toughest design that I have seen short of the folding breacher knives.

I broke the blade tip off of a Paramilitary 2 once. It ended up looking like the Razel.

Sorry no tanto's or assisted opening. :D

No offense meant, sir, but the rather general commonly-accepted definition of a knife "with a strong tip" is a TANTO.
A tanto-blade has a thick tip by design...which makes it strong. There is some confusion here. I'll just read along... :)

OP you broke my heart when you said no tanto points!

Try the Cold Steel Lawman series or a spear point Recon 1. I think spear points in general are second to Tantos in tip strength with clip points being third but having the best piercing capabilities.

It's a great kniferbro
But not the answer to every need. Mr. Reeve himself would say as much.

And fwiw that sort of fanaticism generally drives more people not to purchase the knife or anything from the brand, rather than the other way around.

Great more for me!

This Kershaw JYD, v.2, is my heavy-duty knife for cutting brush and stuff. Thick, tough, tip. $85. Available anywhere.

Kershaw Junkyard Dog II, G-10 Handle, Sandvik 13C26/CPM-D2 Composite, Plain Edge

Strider SnG Tanto. It's not REALLY a tanto.
You'll really have to save up :D but they are worth it.

I bought this CRKT M16 (M21?) on a whim but it appears to have a pretty strong tip. The Kershaw Scrambler would be similar if they ever produce them.
