Good thread Bruce. My small blades get a polished edge from about 600 grit. My hunters and big blades get a 320 edge with no buff. No complaints yet. Lots of coments on skiners being to sharp and cutting holes in hides. Some people just don't know how to skin a animal or have never used a truely sharp knife.
As for tonights BBQ it was ELK tenderloin medalions marrinated in ginger sauce then wraped in smokey bacon strips. Beats the hell out of squirrel.
