What kind of Steel for Electric Razors?

I bought my first electric razor recently. I've shaved with Gilette razors most of my life, but I wanted a change.

Got me to wondering what kind of steel goes into those cutters... I bought a rotary razor (Remington MicroFlex TCT) with three heads--which only have to be changed once a year. This means that they have to keep a nice edge (although they're purportedly "self sharpening") and be resistant to any sort of rust. Wonder what they use?

While we're on the subject... For those of you that use electric, what brand/model do you use? I'm new to this world of electric shavers, and the jury is still out on the model that I bought. Works well enough, but I wonder if I could do better.

Good Question. I have a Remington Microscreen 3 TCT, and it's the closest shave I've ever experienced from an electric razor. I'd highly recommend one. Here's what the manual says "CAUTION: Never put shaver completely under water. Do not use any aggressive cleansing agent as this may destroy the shaver coatings." So it sounds like they use a special coating on blades.
