What can you expect? Well, I've organized 3 of them so far, and I have to say, this one is going to be a little more laid back.
In talking about it with E, we decided that the Spring Gathering will be more "meet and greet" and fellowship, with the fall being more based on skills, and games.
Oh, don't worry, we will have games, and all kinds of fun stuff, like, 22lr Top Shot competitions, tomahawk, and knife (throwing knife) competitions, some skills classes for those that are interested, some cooking classes for those that are interested, a shit ton of drinking and campfire fun.
What you shouldn't expect, is to be bored, unhappy, or out of place.
Once you meet and get to know E some, you will see what I mean. He opens up HIS house and HIS land for us to play on and have a great time. He is a very hospitable person, and hands down, one of the coolest people I know.
There are places to fish (fast water), kayak (again, fast water), fields to hunt in (out of state license needed), and then, we also have access to Ethan Property.
Expect some of the finest cooks this side of the Mississippi, getting their campfire cook on, Mrs. Trade, and Pointy are just a couple. Derek and Misty, Murph and The Nuge, everyone gets their cook on, and it is some damn fine eats.
Skills? We will teach or assist with ANY outdoor skill you are interested in, and if we can't do it, then, well, we're probably too drunk.
You can expect me to be shitfaced at twice over the entire Gathering, with random sightings of "Pretty Buzzed".
You can expect a RangeMaster to be on duty at all times, and you can expect to adhere to the 2 most important rules that we have. Don't drink and handle firearms, and don't be an asshole.
The second on, means, if you are a lousy drunk, don't drink. If you are one of those "wanna fight!!" kinda guys, don't come. We are into having a great time, and trust me, if you don't get along with others, it won't be the others that are leaving.
Other than that, you'll need to come find out for youself.
