What knife are you most fortunate to own?

We are all accustomed to which knife you want the most, which one you regret not getting the most, and even the which knife do you miss the most after losing it threads. How about one celebrating what we have?

The glee I experienced nearly two years back when my Buck Custom Shop 110 arrived is still remembered. It surpassed my thrill over acquiring my first 110 so many years earlier, if that is possible. It was made with the low availability teardrop Damascus, nickel silver bolsters, and flaming Koa wood scales - a beauty. Still a favorite, but a recent find of a Benchmade Skirmish has really helped me realize just how blessed I am.

Fixed blades... it may sound hokey, but still having my late Dad's old WWII USN KaBar from the So. Pacific is great. The fact that it still resembles a knife, despite the years of less than kind use I made of it, is all the better. Oddly, my Bark Rivers are up there, too - but I honestly think this relatively new RAT Cutlery RC-5 may just be a close second.

What about you - what knife are you most proud to have? Wasn't it Sheryl Crowe that had the song about not having what you want - but wanting what you have?

How about "a knife you can't believe you bought"? I would have never believed I'd spend $500 on a pocket knife and my wife still doesn't.

That could only be one: my Fällkniven F1. There is no knife that has such perfection in blade geometry, cutting/slicing abilities, great balance and that is so easy to maintain. Despite having bought expensive Busses and Fehrmans, F1 is still on top, although some of my Busses come close though.

I have a Shane Sibert Pocket Rocket & I have a 3 inch XM-18 that Rick MADE for me!!! It isn't just any Pocket Rocket, it is a Diablo Pocket Rocket. I placed an order an Blade '06 for my 3 inch XM-18, and I got it the Winter I drove to Alaska.

An early hollow ground Darrel Ralph 5.5" D2 Maxx. Worth $700 to chop to weeds in the wife's yard, hell yeah :D

I usually stick to knives under $100. Below $50 is even better! There are a lot of high value knives available and I aim to get them all :p . So it was a big leap for me toe get my Zero Tolerance ZT0300. I feel very fortunate to have this superb knife. And I will feel even more fortunate when I get the ZT0350, ZT0500, ZT0200, ZT0150, ZT0100, etc. :D

Most proud to have would be a NO. 18 green handled Collins Bowie my uncle carried throughout the Pacific Theater. Fisrt Marine Division, First Raider Battalion, Ooorah!

I put of buying a spyderco military for a long time because I heard there was going to be a run of S90V steel with carbon fiber handles. I'm glad I did too, it is about the most perfect knife I have ever owned. The detent is perfect, the lock is perfect, and the steel is beyond amazing. It has become the knife that I judge all others by.

A Kumar Karda from HI. I had one and gave it to an old high school buddy for his birthday before he was deployed again. I mentioned missing it and one of the fine gents in the Cantina gave me one of his. You'd be hard pressed to find a better guy. I feel very fortunate to be in the company of such people. It's an awesome little knife, too.

I got a 806 AFCK in D2 that I think is amazing. The lock up, feel and ergonomics are perfect for me.

BM558 Small Ritter Grip in M2 #095 W/WilkinsGrips.
My first Axis lock and my M2 steel.
It turned me on so much to these two things, M2 & Axis, that I bit the bullet and spent big money on a Large one #162. I've always been lookin' for "The Knife"....found it.
Hmmm, I wonder what the new M4 steel is like? :D

It has a knife built in, but it is a hawk.
Made by a good friend and brother and fellow BFC mod.
.
All I said when I ordered it was hey Mark, are you interested in making a "duded up pipe hawk."
This was the result:

I have a couple of fixed blades of my own creation that I enjoy using and carrying. As for factory knives two come to mind. I put my Shrade Deer Slayer through years of carry and hard work. Then recently I have been using and carrying a folding Buck Kalinga, and I really like this one it will be my EDC for a long time

I feel fortunate to have my 710-801 in M4. Made especially sweet with knifenut1013's custom sharpening job. Thanks Jason, for the edge and the photos.:D

I feel very fortunate to own a Camillus Rough Cut Stockman, gifted from a fellow forum member. I had mentioned that the knives I currently owned couldn't hold an edge to last through a workday, and he was willing to give one of these away, not expecting anything in return. It's a wonderful user and I really appreciate it, putting it through the ropes very often. Guess that kind of sent me on a giving spree, sending knives to many other members. Feels good.
