What knife are you most fortunate to own?

For me, both my BRKT Bravo-1 (CPM154 version, sold my A2) and Gunny, and my NWA Sierra Scout .

And I told Kaizen1 this before, but I am in love with that Hinderer.

rksoon, that Sierra Scout looks like a BL Goode design. Is that custom or production? Could you give the specs on it? I like it.

BTW, there's a get together tonight in Hayward. The Strider guys will be there and so will my XM-18.

I gave this one to my Grandfather before he passed away and it was given back to me after his passing.
It's in my pocket right now. ;)

It's a custom, well, semi-custom I guess. It's one of the models offered by maker Nick Allen (NWA knives). He has a sub here, you should check it out . BL Goode makes great stuff too, I hope to pick up a few from him sometime down the line; I can definitely see the resemblance in aesthetic.

Some specs:

5" long and 1.25" wide Blade, 10" OAL
3/16" O1, differentially heat treated - 60RC at the edge, visible hamon
Full height flat ground, haven't measured edge angle, but it's great
Nick does absolutely fantastic handles

As for Hayward tonight, I have a date with the GF, but I'll email you to see if other meets are happening soon

I'd have to say my Aitor jungle knife I inherited from my Dad when he died. It was his camping knife and I use it for that too.

It's a rough, tough huge knife...I even chopped wood with it. Then every once and a while put an edge back on that shaves hair.

My Becker BK1. Unaware of what was going on with Camillus, I tried to order a BK7, but 1SKS was out of stock, so I changed the order to a BK9, after a few days I got an email saying that was out of stock as well, so I "settled" for a BK1. It is a great chopper, and I have something a lot of other people would like to have.

Another reason I love this knife: it is the reason I joined BF. I was looking for more information on Beckers, and found the thread Ethan started, mentioning he had bought the rights to BK&T and was going in with KaBar. So I joined.

I'm pleased that I bought a Randall Jack Crider Special around 1990. They have gotten very expensive. Great blade. My Ek Commando bowie is quite nice for a factory blade from that same era. It was purchased as my "survival knife". Not much has changed in 19 years.

I'm very happy with my Dozier blades as well even though I only allow myself to buy one per year.

My 154CM Camillus CQB-1
BK-7
BK-9
Camillus: Black Ops Close Quarter Battle( Same Design as CQB-1 but BK carbon steel, Black blade) Got Kydex for it.
Mini CQB-1 154CM
All Camillus "Last batch". I got them all around the same time. And that was it. The CQBs Don't sat "CUDA" and are 154cm. More custom looking. I feel fortunate to own a last batch of the great American made Camillus Legacy. Even though they aren't "expensive" they are kind of "safe queens". I Know they will never be back. My grand kids can have them.

Strider SA,DB, SMFx3, SNG MSC Recurve.
Trident/Crusader forge Metro tactical
Hinderer XM-18 flipper
Brock Pikal ( Heard this is a rare one) and Street badger.
Shivworks Disciple's X2 + Clinch pick.

And I really fell fortunate that the Hissatsu from CRKT is so cheap:D

I wish Someone would Make one with G10/Micarta and Maybe a Carbon Steel with hamon line. I saw Brock made one, but I think it was a one of a kind.

Mine is a 100+ year old pig sticker I found in a farmers barn, lying in the dust. Apparently his dad forged it when he was a kid (old guy was 80+ at the time) and used it his whole life when butchering pigs. Soft, no stamp but old and used, and given to me without hesitation.

An Ontario RAT-5, given to me by a member on the forum who heard I was looking for a Survival knife. It'll be what I take to Northern Minnesota at the end of August.

I have several:

A Buck 119, 100th Anniv. model. Back in the 80's, my grandmother let me buy one - sprt of a gift, she handed me the money, siad "buy a good one [knife], and keep the rest." She was very pleased that I bought a Buck. Later, I gave it to my uncle, and decided to buy another here recently. A friend at ACE Hardware sold it to me for the new issued price of 5-6 years ago.

The other is a TL-29 that [family tradition says] my grandfather carried during the Occupation of Japan in 1945-46.

A couple of traditional slipjoints that members here gave me, out of simple generosity. Those mean more to me than any I could buy, except for that Buck, maybe.

thx - cpr

A couple months before Spyderco brought out the StretchII, I was walking around the outlet store. Seems someone put out one of them before it was officially released and I bought it. So other than Sal and maybe some other employees, I had one of the first StretchII's. I still use it.
