What knife are you most proficient with?

I’ve been using my Chris Reeve Shadow 7” for 16 years, and it is like an extension of my hand.

I EDCed a Spyderco Police for 12 years, and everything about operating and using it became instinctive.

I’ve now had my large classic Sebenza for a few months and am just starting to get to the level of comfort and proficiency with it that I expect/want.

My Delica at first, purchased in late '99 been carrying it ever since.....at least until I got my SE Salt I. :D

Now my Salt I is with me everywhere I go. Since it has the same handle as the Delica, my "muscle memory" is intact.

Buck 110s have performed so well for me over the years. I never thought of it as proficiency.... but, yes, my 110s.

For quick deployment and return to pocket-Spydie Native III
For fancy cuttin'-Opinel #7 or 8.

My Spyderco Military, instinctive is an understatement, like riding a bike, I haven't thought about the mechanics in years. "Out n in" on autopilot, one handed.

When I need it, its open in my hand. It doesn't matter if I'm under the car or hanging from a limb.

Spyderco Military, but I don't carry that any more due to the faulty lock.

#2 would have to be my Manix.

Microtech SOCOM manual. The thing flips open so hard you have to make sure you are holding on tight.

My impact warthog. It's had the most edc time at work out of all my smaller fixed blades. In the bush my old kabar gets all the work.

any of my knives. Thing is, once I obtain a knife I cannot stop myself from playing with it to no end. I find myself using my Busse DABAIII most often at work these days because it is faster and more accessable than any folder.

For me, it's either my BM Mini-Grip or FRN Delica. Both have been EDC'd since I got 'em:D

Used to be a full-SE Delica. Had that sucker for 4 or 5 years, and then it decided to move away... Without leaving a new address for me to forward the mail! Did everything with that knife... it was a sixth finger on my right hand.

Now it's the 710. There are some knives that I use more frequently, but none that are more instinctive.

Peace.
