355 votes so far. I'm kind of surprised we didn't get more, this being a forum of tens of thousands of people.

Over 2k views though, so either some people have viewed it more then once or not everyone is voting.

Now all we need is; a) "Poll: Where do you live?" thread, b) "Poll: What passes for security around your house?" thread, and c) "Poll: When are you least likely to be home?" thread.:D

>2000 views, but 335 votes and only 83 responses. That's not too bad.

Whittingslowe

But then, I collect Australian Military Knives!:) and William Thomas Whittingslowe was one of the most prolific suppliers of knives during the war.

The Whittingslowe Company is reputed to have sold all of the many types of military knives it produced to the Government for the cost of production, not seeking to make a profit. This was their contribution to the war effort.

The irony: Thirty years later, the knives for the Australian Military Forces were manufactured in Japan, one of the enemies whose support from Whittingslowe had helped overcome and the Whittingslowe Company had gone out of business .

With nearly 400 votes cast, the top five are:

#1 Spyderco (31.13%)
#2 Kershaw (12.40%)
#3 Benchmade (11.87%)
#4 Victorninox/Wenger (6.07%)
#5 Buck (5.54%)

The top five accounted for 68% of the votes.

I left out CRKT and Fallkniven. Write-in votes included:

AG Russell
Becker
Bob Terzuola
Busse
Citadel
Camillus
CRKT
Dozier
Eriksson Mora
GEC
Fallkniven
HI
Microtech
ML Knives
Opinel
Randall

I'm slighlty surprised by Spyderco's dominance and more than slightly surprised that Case XX didn't poll any higher.

Strange finding, i actually double checked my collection (if you can call it that :) ) and I noticed that i have everything in pairs.

Randall
Ontario
Benchmade
Cold Steel
RAT (should get here today)

The dominant "knife" in my collection is my first Randall though, it has been with me the longest, and is the last one that will ever leave me.
