What knife company do you think has the best customer service??

I've had really superb experience with Spyderco customer service. They've always honored their lifetime warranty w/ the knives I've sent their way, and they've even gone above and beyond, during what was clearly a "repair" situation, not warranty.

Haven't had to use cust serv from other companies yet, but I like what I hear from other people. Seems to be pretty much industry wide, knife knuts are good peeps.
A few seem to go out of their way to be responsive, but yes, the knife industry does foster a sense of community that translates to generally good service.

Customer service, or lack thereof, has sort of become one of my "pet peeves" lately. It's gotten almost so bad recently that when someone at company "xyz" just does their job, I consider that going "above and beyond". As far as production knives go, I can honestly say that CRK (Chris Reeves), Emerson, and Strider offer awesome customer service. Emerson is a bit slow on the custom turnaround (he works on those personally), but productions there and at CRK and Strider are pretty quick and the blades come back exactly how you wanted them. Strider for sure does not give you any flak, if something is wrong, doesn't matter whose fault, it gets fixed.

Another vote for Justin and Jen at Ranger Knives.

Fallkniven and Northwoods also provide great service.

You can’t beat motivated and enthusiastic people.

I have had outstanding customer service from Buck and Spyderco. Don't ask me about my experience with Bark River.

Columbia River - stripped clip screws, sent back, recieved brand new point guard...who can argue with that after 3 years of everyday use(abuse!)...???

I've had excellent service from Benchmade (3 times) and Coldsteel (once). I've been consistently disappointed with Spyderco (~4). I won't buy a spyderco sight unseen due to my past problems with quality and warranty repair. However, I'll buy a benchmade unseen, secure in the knowledge that they will make it right for the price of postage.

The only CS I've yet to have to deal with (knock on wood) is Microtech, and I must say that I had no problems with them. It took about 4 weeks to get my Scarab back, but I sent it right when 3 hurricanes decided to hit their shop. Had a problem, they took care of it. I hate to think what it would have been like if I wasn't in a state where you can buy a switchblade at the mall.

Their new policy however makes me hope I never have another problem again. They seem to be looking for every and any excuse they can find to not service their products. The proprietary screws piss me off too.

I've dealt with Spyderco and Protech through email (just info/questions), and I must say that their devotion to their customer base makes Microtech look like that SNL "buh-bye" sketch.

I have to join Kamkazmoto in my choice of ProTech. Generous, fast, genuinely concerned about your being happy. Dave is excellent.

I just fix my own Microtechs because of the hassles others have reported. Foggetaboutit.

Spyderco is as good as it gets.

I've lost count of how many times I've gotten clips and screws by emailing Joyce in the nearly 6yrs of using spydies.

Today's mail from sfo was 2 sets of clip screws, and a clip kit for another knife. Just for asking nicely.

Only other warrenty I've used was on my Tichbourne h7, when the belt loop came loose after a month of wearing it. Emailed George & Carol, had it repaired in a reasonable time considering how busy they are.

Well, I really don't have many productions that I have ever had to return for and kind of service. Not to say that there aren't any that needed it, I just never sent them in. I did send in two Delicas to Spyderco that had the plastic clips broken off for my brother and bro-in-law. They were fixed, no questions asked. Thumbs up for those guys.

Mostly now is have knives from:

Razorback Knives: Excellennce all around and Scott is truely a standup guy
Busse: the name speaks for it self. Great stuff, great guy.
Bark River: As mentioned above, greatness.
Jensen Elite Blades: Peter is great to deal with and I love all the photos of my knives in progress.
Ranger Knives: Another man of integrity that makes a great blade.

You cannot go wrong with any of the above.

In no particular order, I have had superior customer service from:
Chris Reeve, Benchmade, and Buck knife companies.

Can't beat the friendly service at AG Russell's.
Bark River is excellent too.
