What knife did you get for Father's day?

I got a Duncan Whiplash from KnifeArt. Two out of four kids and my wife pitched in. Most likely the only handmade I'll ever own:(:(
Hard to find something good to carry this monster in. I'm using a Blackie Collin's tool sheath now. $3.00. Nothing else comes close to a fit.

I got a yellow Mini-Griptilian and a Spyderco Sharpener from my daughter (still in the mail). What a good girl and smart too! She's also 16 months old.

Mini-Grip is a back up edc when I don't want the chance of loosing my nicer blades while fishing, etc... I'm finally getting the Spydie sharpener even though I have an Edgepro Professional. It seems I don't have quite as much time to sharpen as I used to b. c. (before child). Go figure?? :D

Not a knife, but I bought my dad a SureFire G2 Nitrolon so he'd quit oogling over my 6P :)

But now he wants a Normark custom sheath like mine... oh Eric! ;)

I got a new oatmeal bowl and a canteen!

My kids really love me, but they don't have that kind of cash.

My wife thinks I have too many knives as it is. Plus if she ever started looking at the prices of the ones I have I'd be building a new doghouse.... :D

The love of your kids is more important than any physical object. That is why I said 2/4 pitched in for the knife. The others didn't have the funds, but showed their love with calls and cards. Means very much. I taught 31 years and saw so many kids that didn't even know their dad. I was like a surrogate. Cherish that oatmeal bowl, etc.
Prof. Ed:)

I "got" a Cold Steel City Stick, which was shortened to fit me correctly. Everybody likes it, including my broken leg.
And a nice old Christy I found for a buck in the used box at the dealer. Maybe next year I'll get a large flat classic Sebenza. Maybe.

My dad got an early gift of a UT6, I bet that thing has opened 500 times in the last week

LOL, we need to get our dad's together. By Monday I was wondering if mom was sick of the click clack of the thing.

Hell, I didn't even know it was Fathers Day until I overheard the wife calling her old man...:(

On one hand I kinda got hurt feelers, an' on the other hand I figure it don't make a sh!t of difference no how, jus' another Hallmark Holiday to send people rushing out to the stores to buy crap.

(No offense to y'all lucky folks what got really cool toys)

I got a Wenger SAK. My first knife as a gift, even though I've been collecting for years.

After months of my father-in-law showing off his cheap knives I decide it was time for him to own a real knife. So, for Father's Day I bought him a Delica. He was very surprised to say the least. I then took his POS knock-off outside and proceeded to bash it with a sledge hammer while chanting "NEVER AGAIN!" with each blow.

Like I said, I got myself a Dave Beck Wilderness Survival Knife that just happened to arrive right before father's day. My 2 year old son colored a picture for me with a little help from my wife.
