In the past, what knife did you get the best deal on? I'm not talking about gifts, I mean buying or trade killer deals.

I bought a COLD STEEL Tanto for $20.00 at the Pawn Shop.
Bought a Puma stag skinner for $30.00 in mint condition.
Traded two brand new Browning hunting knives for a Buck Buckmaster Survival and a Cold Steel Recon Bowie. The guys said they were too big for hunting, and traded even. I was fired up!!!! and still am!!!

Let me know your good deals.

I got a really good deal on all the knives I own, because I feel each was worth more than I paid for them. The one I think was the best was my Buck Strider for $106.00.

A Pat on the Back is only a few inches from a Kick in the Butt.

I got a Gerber BMF (w/sawteeth) for $70. I went back to get another one for my brother the following week and they were priced at $95. Not sure what they go for now.

Some of the best deals are here on the forums,
Like a small Sebenza for $200 and a Spyderench for $35.
I thought $100 for a LCC was great too.

I think $80.00 for a Random Task is pretty good, and $90.00 for a Spyderco Shabaria.

I got a Spyderco Standard from Smoky Mountain for $45 delivered.
I liked it so much that I ordered another one for the same price

I just traded a small handmade hunter (cost me $70) to a guy for a Colin Cox fighter that he bought in a pawn shop...I e-mailed Colin with a request for more info and attached a photo of the knife. It turns out that this piece is a one-of-a-kind that he made in the early 90's and sold for about $350. I feel like I got an amazing deal.

I bought my LCC for $85. Got it from a friend. Thanks George!

What is this existential quandry all about anyway?

Just won a Emerson Spec-War folder off Ebay for $90 bucks but the best deal ever was back in 1885 trading a case of C rations to a Contra Rebel for a Randall 14 , I always wondered where in the hell the guy got the knife ? Maybe Ollie left it down there?

Oh yeah!! I forgot about a Schrade lockblade that I paid $30.00 to some guy at a Pawn Shop in Dallas. This knife has been detailed in every way, with etchings, smooth bone (or ivory) handles, and nickel silver bolsters. Schrade says its not a factory, and Bernard Levine has no reply on it. If anyone is interested, I will Email you jpegs of it or you can tell me how to post it on here.

A Gerber BMF, without sawteeth (complete, and "like-new") for $65. (I later sold this same knife for $175!). A Cold Steel Peace Keeper II (NIB) for $20. Both of these were purchases from a pawn-shop.

Then there was the Extra-Large Cold Steel Clip-Point plain Voyager that I bought from a fellow Forumite for $28, including shipping.
...And the Cold Steel "old-style" Mini-Tanto that I JUST bought from another fellow Forumite for $45, including shipping.

The best deal I got are the 2 GT manual folders I got from Brownell's close-out flyer last week. $62.22 for a black handled plain edge and $74.44 for a green handled, coated tanto. The ergonomics of these knives needs to be experienced to be understood. Coll push button lock. Shaving sharp out of the box, smooth opening and VERY solid. These knives are sleepers!
