What knife do use to fillet fish?

The one and only Dexter Russell Sani-Safe in 9" :)

Cant wait to slice and dice some stripers too

Henkles 6" boning knife.

I'm right there with ya on the fishing.

Usually a couple of old Rapala Fish n Fillet knives. Sometimes an Electric Knife.

Bought my Bro-in-Law a Global Fillet knife that he LOVES.

Usually a Mister Twister electric knife. I also use a Rapala and a Browning.

Rapala Fish & Fillet - cheap and good. Can't wait to fish this year - going to have the kayak rigged to bear for the first time.

I have and use both a Buck and Rapala 8" knives-very sharp and easy to manitain.

Eagle River Knife Co. in Alaska. It's filleted bass, pike, walleye, and lakers. Love that knife.

Fallkniven F2. Blade is not as flexible as a traditional fillet knife, but it cuts through bone, cartilage, and spine easily.

Dexter Russel Hi-Carbon wide stiff boning knife, 137X series. I like the 1376 with the six inch blade the most versatile. You see the 1375 on most commercial boats, they don't fillet, they just gut the fish, so the shorter blade is preferred. I like the 1377 and 1378 for larger fish but can make due with a smaller blade. I put the tip of an 8" 1/3 of an inch into my palm one day when the weather got bad. The blood bubbled through the slit in the glove and I kept it on all afternoon. I didn't even look at my hand until we were on the way in 3 or 4 hours later...

If you prefer stainless the Sani-Safe series of boning knives is the same as the above with a plastic handle.

Ended up getting one of the new Buck Silver Creek medium sized fillet knives. Seems pretty nice and had some great reviews. Will replace a crappy one I've used for years.

Going to start keeping a cooler in my car with the knife and a cutting board. Figure i'll throw some ice in the cooler when I go fishing and start keeping what I catch. Always just threw them back. That's going to change though.

I did some smaller trout the other day with a Fallkniven P1 (folder). The key whether using a small folder, traditional fillet knife or fixed blade, is to have an extremely sharp knife with a thinner blade.

4", 6", and 7" Rapala fillet knives. Which one I use depends on the kind of fish I catch.

Knives of Alaska Steelhead for most fish but I also use a KOA Cub Bear or Case Trapper for the smaller ones.
