What knife do you belt carry when outdoors?

Currently a mora companion until my GSO-6 comes in

Made me look it up.
That's a cool knife... Hidden lanyard hole in the striker pommel... Nice.
Having exposed tang on the pommel, or "skull crusher pommel" has kind of become
one of the features I look for now...

Most of the time I choose my bk2. Handles almost anything. Occasionally I downsize to my rat3.

Almost always a big Chris custom in a traditional pattern. Muk, kephart or puukko. I'll try to find a pic.

I've also never found the need for a big blade. I have some and I try to make up a need but for my backpacking it just never comes up.

You can put me in the "none" category. I prefer a light pocket knife. Belt carry interferes with hip straps. On the rare occasion I carry a sheath knife it goes in the pack. I modify my sheathes to attach to a belt loop with a small caribiner so I can put it and take it off easily for when I'm using it. Generally hate having stuff on my belt though.

I usually don't carry a knife on my belt, but since I hike with my puppy and she's not capable of defending herself just yet, i bring the TG with me.
Only because I've spotted coyotes during the day many times on this trail near my home.

Believe me, i get weird looks from hikers when I wear one.

usually at camp, I'll stab the knife into a stump instead of carrying it with me, since I always have a trusty pocket knife on me.

for woods bumming, I like this scandi grind from Mark Hill, over in the UK. RWL 34 steel, and so far, indestructible. The blade is 5 inches, and I carry it in a dangler.

I posted these the other days, but had no picture to post. I carry one of these usually.
From right to left:
Case Finn
Austin Goldman -usually my woods bumming knife).
Western W36 -just picked it up this weekend, but it will be accompanying me in to the woods once I make a sheath).
Condor Mountain Camp Knife-straps to the pack for deeper woods exploration. The belt loop sucks, due to the location of the swivel, which causes the knife to flip around when you walk.

I added two Beckers, an #11 and a #2. I am in the process of modding both of them to my liking. As soon as the knife work is finished I plan on making leather sheaths for both of them. The 11 is almost finished, the scales are sanded and the blade polished to an almost mirror finish, still have to put the buffer to it. Then the blade sanding begins on the BK2.

I live in Australia , I USED to carry these knives as belt knives , when we went anywhere remotely bush ..
Knife laws and gun laws changed some tho over the years . more so as governments see their own voters as enemies to be controlled ( or its seeming that way )
When I used to belt carry , it was ilegal to carry a concealed weapon .. and a knife in a pocket , is or was considered a concealed weapon .. but a belt carry was cool
Then I moved to NSW , the police state so I pocket carry to avoid crap from cops , and I have practiced my " legal excuse" to carry my knives ... its pretty much country wide now tho ... anything that can be construed a threat to the force , police force , border force , armed forces .. is illegal to possess unless you have a god damned excuse to possess it .. OK Ill stop ranting here and just show you what I used to belt carry lol , but now pocket carry ..

Just an opinel 10 , and an Izula , both hicarbon , I just like that it holds a better edge for longer , for me , than other cheap knife steels , OK the Izula wasnt cheap .. but I had been hearing heaps about them at the time and curiosity got me .so I got the original , it was too small for my hands , this is awesome , the 2nd version . Im a bigger bloke so it didnt bug me on my belt , and I lose it in my pockets . The opinel the same .

The Opinel is one handed opening , another illegal thing , a knife that can be opened with one hand ..happened to my old one with age and use , the new one I had to help that process some with a little disassembling and sandpaper .. too used to the old one .

I have a bunch of other knives bigger and heavier , but have yet to find a use for them other than just having fun ( aside my my machetes .. patch clearing / trail cutting can be pretty regular thing to do some places we go )

Finnish Puukko made by Woodsknife. This thing is light, a fantastic cutter, tough enough for anything, and damn if it's not pretty.

I don't often belt carry as sometimes it gets in the way when trail running or conflicts with the pack's belt but when I do sometimes will take the following.

Enzo in 12c27 if it's going to be raining.

I also like the BHK/LT bushcrafters. Have two of them. Almost considering one in SS as well.
