What knife do you carry when shoveling or working in the snow?

I have an orange rescue model Spyderco that I can somewhat easily find if I drop it in the snow, and don't want to stab myself groveling around trying to find it if I drop it.

I'm thinking I should trade it in on one of the Spyderco Yellow Salt models. Thoughts?

This week (we just had a huge storm 2 days ago and more snow is coming tonight) I'm carrying a mora companion. Of I loose it I'm out <$15.

Maybe an H1 Dragonfly if I think I'll be actually using the knife in the snow. Otherwise--no change--whatever's in my pocket.

I liked to carry a yellow Atlantic Salt in the snow. Occasionally I'd even scrape ice or snow off something with the front part (unsharpened tip) *gasp*

I just came in from snow blowing for we are getting hit by snow storm now in Western Maryland. I carry my Kershaw knockout blem so it wont be big deal if it came up missing......its my work around house knife

PM2. If I'm mountaineering or skiing, I carry a Benchmade 3550 because the mechanism can be locked. Snow isn't exactly hard on knives, it's the excess humidity and sweat trapped in winter clothing that can cause corrosion (if applicable).

One of my fixed blades. I'm not trying to fumble around with locks when I'm wearing gloves

I just got done with removing snow off my driveway and had Spyderco Dragonfly 2 H1 with "Yellow" handle.

Whatever was in my pocket when it needed shoveling.
I don't really need to have one with while doing so though, but as I always have one on me, that's the one that will join in on the winter fun.

A Sebenza or a Military. The only two knives that I'd trust that I can reliably manipulate with gloves on.

Fixed blade with gloves. Gossman micro Kephart. Under 3" blade, coco bolo scales, A2. Gonna get a neck sheath from Scott for it.

Also have a Schatt and Morgan heritage premium stockman. Yeah the fixed blade gets the most use.
