What knife do you carry when shoveling or working in the snow?

Whetever is in my pocket that day.rain hail snow or shine my edc is going with me.

One of my fixed blades. I'm not trying to fumble around with locks when I'm wearing gloves

Same here. I carry a BK14 with kydex for easy draw with gloves. At least I did last year. No snow yet here in seattle this year.

I have a Fehrman Last Chance with orange handles....If I drop this puppy, I can find it very easily!!

ZT 0300, after 8 inches of snow this past week and a high of -10 the past 3 days, its nice to have a big enough handle and a flipper to open with thick gloves on

None intentionally. Only if I have one in pocket when I go to fire up the snow blower.
I don't look out, decide to shovel, then pick the right knife for the job. Snow removal from my walk and drive are "no blade required" activities.

I have to say, the last thing on my mind when shoveling snow is what knife to bring. I thinking more about a moisture wicking layer and firing up the snowblower.

My Swisstool Spirit x usually. It's great to have if I have to screw something back in place or have to scrape anything off etc The Swisstool has a tool for anything! And I carry it safe in its puch, although it would be sad if I lost it. But I'm willing to live with that risk.
Although, last time I went snow shoveling I carried my Izula

My edc just depends on what I feel like carrying. I have a rotation that is based on what I feel like. Most likely it will be my Endura 4 with the wave. I have had snow, but had not had to shovel much yet.

I used to play hockey but my body can't handle it anymore. I hate skiing and the cold so I wouldn't miss it. :D

Yeah my body is getting a bit beaten up but still hanging in. I got frostbite a few years ago on my face and sadly that comes back, If I don't watch it and protect my skin I am walking around looking like I have 2 pieces of bacon on my face for a couple of weeks. that I could live without.

SAK, same as always. Look at it this way, if you loose your knife in the snow, you can recover it when the snow melts.

Oh dear! That sounds terrible!

If I'm clearing snow whatever happens to be in my pocket is staying there.
I usually carry knives I know I can open with stiff cold hands (or while wearing gloves) in the winter no matter what the circumstances.
