Exactly! A coworker saw my solution and noted that " a katana that thick with that steel would be too heavy and unwieldy."
I politely responded, "so?" I've got lots of brush to clear, or at least i'd find some!
 
Nothing now. Monday my ZT0770CF came (love it) and yesterday my TSF Beast came, which I'm carrying today and like it.
 
My Swamp Rat Rucki is waiting for me at home! I'm a happy happy guy!!!!!

Man the day is gonna creep by now..... :(

I have a Shaerk Burning Bush and a Big Mook on the way in a couple weeks. I also have a Enzo Trapper in 01, I have a guy putting on black micarta scales and blue liners with carbon fiber pins. I really cant wait for both to come in. I also am going to order two ESEE Izulas or possibly Izula II's to piggy back on a couple sheaths. I also have a Swamprat Ratmandu with two sheaths showing up on Monday. I went a little crazy this month. Last week I picked up a Busse Boss Jack and a JK Kephart. After this I am done for a while or my wife will kill me. I do want a Wetterlings Hunters Axe still though.

Yeah, it's a 5" blade that's 3/16" thick. It's going to be my new camp knife. The picture is Shaerks, but the top one is the big Mook, below that is the burning bush, and I think the third or fourth is the Mook.

Yeah, it's a 5" blade that's 3/16" thick. It's going to be my new camp knife. The picture is Shaerks, but the top one is the big Mook, below that is the burning bush, and the third is the Mook.
 
I just threw down a whole $15 on a Kershaw OD-2. Wanted to play with the overdrive mechanism and I don't like frame locks so tge OD 1 was out. Should be here tomorrow. Just got my first Skyline in on Monday too. All the knives I have/had and I've never owned a Skyline. I like it a lot. Might make an s30v version the next purchase.

Yessir! Thanks bro! I'm gonna use it as a general machete/chopper. I'm not gonna be too brutal on it and baton it through knotty seasoned hickory or anything, but I'm not gonna go easy on her either. It's gonna see plenty of use, believe me!

It's a forever guaranteed bushwhacking short sword! What's not to like man? I'm thinking chop chop chop - anything less than 4" should fall in a few strokes.
 
I am getting a new Benchmade Griptillion with a drop point blade Olive drab handle with BT1 coating. I am looking for the best place to buy a deep Carry Pocket Clip for both the Mini and regular size Griptillion..
I just purchased a Mini Griptilian and feel it is too small, I am used to carrying a Flash II SOG.

It'll most likely never happen, but if I ever got one I'd probably be tempted to just play with it :o...... It's just ASKING to be waved around chopping off imaginary zombie heads and reenacting scenes from gladiator :D

Speaking of which, how's the balance and weight? Good for fast swinging, or does it feel more like a machete?

Excellent question! I had already established the balance point, but I got it back out just to make sure....(and ogle it once again!) It balances right underneath the logo, a little toward the handle. (Very close to the handle/blade junction) It doesn't feel blade heavy in the hand, but that's where the balance is. I suspect it will be great at hacking things needing hackin'!
