What Knife Do You Have Coming?

I have a sharp be design Typhoon Tanto style flipper on the way. made by Brian Nadeun @ http://www.sharpbydesign.com/

I was, actually hunter for an F3 3.5"/4" blade. Mainly because they are meant for tough use, and they are a quick deployment style flipper. I passed on orange, green, and other ugly scales to include g10 which didn't turn me on. Of course a 4" f3 that was perfect for me came up for sale, but I didn't know it. it was snatched yup quickly of course.

I wanted a pohan leu bluephin; but didn't want to wait for a custom version i wanted. I considered seriously another Andre Thornburn Flipper, came real close to pulling the trigger on one. Yet, because some of the signature details that Mr. Thornburn makes with his knives I passed. His books are close I'm told so again I didn't want to wait.

I didn't even know much about Brian, but after some quick checking i felt that rush and opened communication to buy the knife.

I got this one from blade junkee http://www.bladejunkee.com/folders.html top of the page in the middle. It's marked sold. I was on the phone with Scott when that was changed because i bought it.

Once i figure out how to post pictures again I'll post some up here. My most expensive knife to date & unless i get a Santiago balisong or a bali balistic it might be my last big knife purchase. This tanto is definitely an investment piece for me. The blade, might cut paper 3-6 times max and nothing else. It will not be carried outside in the real world; & will be flipped for fun only. :tickled_pink:

Video is sort of funny, but does show some relevant information explained by Brian.

Tanker gray Tan Micarta RMD!
After not much time convincing myself to order before they went away forever.
Being a bit of a noob to this lifestyle it's a good feeling when you come late to the party and still get to enjoy yourself.
I know once it gets here I'll be pining for the Rodent 9 as well.

I hope this wait is as painless as my <4 week RS build time.
Now on the hunt for some kydex pants!

I sold a few last week that were not getting any pocket time - now I have two new ones arriving tomorrow:

Manix 2 Cruwear and Benchmade North Fork

Looking forward to seeing my wife's reaction! ha

Just got of the phone, Boker Pry-mate...should be here in a couple of weeks. Was sorta torn between the mini and the mate, went with the mate more of a practical ECD and I can handle the weight.

Its a wonderful sickness Ant!
Best part is, when I told the wife she said "what took you so long?"

Awwww yeah!! Now that's a good lady there! Mine doesn't even bat an eyelash anymore.... The really cool part is she loves Busse and kin, thinks they're gorgeous knives, and if I tell her I'm getting one she's excited too. Good times!

Lol mine too. She loves them. Even has a j. A. Baker custom of her own.

I have a benchmade 46 blk on the way. Super rare from what I see. Got a nice deal too!
Flipping is consuming my life!

I wasn't really looking for anything new given that all my needs are met in spades with so many great knives and tools in my collection already, but I happened across a thread on the Exchange with a fantastic price for a Leatherman Charge Ti that came with the full extended bit set and seeing as how it was on my short list of "If the opportunity presents itself..." I snapped it up tonight. The Charge made my list after I got to handle the one a coworker friend has, and I think it will be a great item to have. I have other multi-tools, but the S30V blade, pocket clip, and interchangeable bits sealed the deal.

Good times!

Scored a used BM Contego for 70 bucks shipped. I just couldn't pass it up at that price. It shipped yesterday, so it shouldn't be too long.....
