What knife do you throw?

coldsteel type throwers are freaken awesome! at least for newbies. worked great for me. My sureflight 12 inch series works fantastic. in fact, I was so inspired by this post that I started to throwing yesterday and kept it up for about 2 hours while getting them to stick in to a nice peice of wood at about 18-20 feet just about. I didn't measure, I really should have though.

I am looking at a CRKT Sting as a possible camp/throwing knife...what do you think?

Secondly, I am looking at some Gil Hill Hibben throwing knives...short about 6" long. Any comments on throwing short knives vs something longer??

I find that the longer and heavier a knife is- the easier it is to stick it! Also like Watchful said-- unless your camp knife is really sturdy and tough, it's best not to throw it. I've broken knives that were designed to throw- imagine the forces on knives not designed for it!
