What knife do you use most?

My daily carry -- usually a small sebenza, sometimes a delica.
Break out the Endura for larger jobs, or my khukuris or Trailmaster for really big jobs.

The knife I actually use the most is my Blue Delica. No matter what else I am carrying at the time, it usually comes out first.

My Kershaw Blackout, it's a much more comfortable carry than my OE Magna, so it tends to see more use just because of that.

BM 42 IWB and M18-02 CRKT in the pocket. They seem to complement each other nicely, at least this week. Who knows what next week will bring.

It's a toss up... CRK Umfaan and SAK Classic. The Umfaan for cutting & slicing tasks, the SAK for it's scissors and tweezers.

Spyderco Native in 440V. But when I need something a little tougher I reach for the busse basic 5.

I am ashamed to admit its the tiny Victronox Swiss Army Classic. I use the nail file, tweezers, toothpick, scissors, and blade all the time. Its small and sheeple friendly, and rides in the pocket with all the coins and keys, with no problem. I could care less if it gets scratched up. Great size blade for scraping crud off the rollers in a computer mouse as well. Then in the strong hand pocket.......well lots of cool knives ride along in there, for real jobs. But the classic still gets used the most.

TorzJohnson- Do you know of a good online source for the Klein splicing kit? Sounds like I could use one.

My current most used is my new Chive. I carry it in my 5th pocket and flip it out anytime its even possibly needed (what's that i hear? a piece of string has nice old Mrs. Smith cornered?!? Lets go sidekick Chive, we'll save her!)

I do have 2 other knives on or near me at a time. My REKAT Pioneer II in a belt sheath, and the Pikuni either on my belt or in my backpack. These do get used, just not as much. These 3 are probably my favorite knives, and are always to be found around me.

I would say that the SuperTool was in this list, 'cept I've lost it, and cannot locate it anywhere. Oh, well, now I'll have to get the SuperTool 200, or more!

P.S.- Melvin-Purvis, am I to understand that outside of work you don't wear pants? lol

For years, I've carried a Schrade LB5 on my belt almost exclusively, and it has served me well. But .... my kids surprised me with a Leatherman Wave on Fathers' Day this year, and now I'd not like to be without it. I still pack the old Schrade on days that are guaranteed to call for fairly heavy duty slashing, but the Wave rides alone about 90% of the time. Good kids, keepers all! :D

Either my Emerson SOFCK tanto or my CQC6, depends which is in my pocket that day.

Ed

Emerson Mach 1 in plainedge with the Black Ti sanded off. I even sleep with it.

Wirebender,

Definitely try one, I think you'll find it useful. I've picked them up at Home Depot electrical dept for around $20 - but some locations charge up to $32 so shop around. I haven't seen Klein kits on line anywhere yet but Jensen makes a good one and it's available at:

http://www.jensentools.com/

Just run a search under "splicer's kit" or "cable splicer's kit".

Calypso Jr. -- for all cutting chores.

SAK Classic -- great little scissors, very helpful to snip off the rubber bands on my son's braces when the fixtures come unglued from his teeth. Keeps my nails trim too. Never use the knife.

SAK (91 mm size) -- my "multi-tool" for when I don't want to open my briefcase to open my Wave, or when I am not near my briefcase. The corkscrew is great for opening knots in the kids shoelaces, and the bottle opener, obviously.

Regards,

David

I use my Leatherman PST II the most. It comes in real handy at work, around the house, just about anywhere. The knife I use the most is my Old Timer 8-OT Stockman, or my Buck 301. I rotate them from week to week. Not much I need to cut that they don't cut.

i use my vic nox hiker the most it has a saw blade and a philips screwdriver blade and is still slim enough for my pocket, the saw comes in pretty handy when it comes to making trigger systems for dead falls and the like.

I guess that I use my REKAT Carnivour Cub the most, as it's one of my 2 "EDC" folders. It could even be my little 2-blade (small and large spear-point blades) Victorinox Swiss Army Knife that I keep in arm's reach by my "tv" couch.:).
