Ok so I am wanting to get a Large Chris Reeve knife. I like the 21 insingo but there are a lot of others I liked. I have never owned one before and am trying to figure out what is gonna be the one that I like best . I would like to stay under 600.00 but would pay more if I found something I can't live without. I have looked on EBay and have seen some cool ones but have found you usually pay more for knives on "Fleabay" as I have discovered this community calls it. So can you guys give me some ideas on some knives, prices, and send pics of some you think I might like thanks .

The Large 21 Insingo is a great choice if you are going to be using it...and if you already like the Insingo, just go ahead and get it...others will follow...

Here's some encouragement :)

Thanks!

Check out CRK prices on their website...all the dealers sell them at MSRP...there are at least a couple of authorized dealers on ebay...
or check the exchange here of BF...

I look at ebay but tend to avoid it when buying. I find it easier to trust a dealer that is listed on CRK's sight or a seller here on the exchange. If you watch the exchange you can find some pretty good deals.

I like the insingo blade shape. I own both a large and small, and they both get carried quite frequently. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite between the insingo and drop point style blade. Either one is very functional IMHO.

That design is very cool. It looks even better in person. There is a very cool 3d effect it has going on.

You know if they have it with a Tanto blade?

I have not seen one and a quick search didn't show anything. You may be able to call CRK and special order one though?

The only 2 large CRKs Ive owned are the Umnumzaan and the Large Sebenza 21 Micarta. Both are great. I like the Large 21 more, but at the same time, wish I didnt get rid of the Zaan. There's really not a bad CRK from what Ive seen. Pick the one you like best!

I'd recommend the CRK exchange to narrow down your choices as you can't loose much if you decide to resell and try a different model. The Insingos are favorites of mine and I own both large and small in plain and Micarta inlay versions. My two smalls get all the carry time but I wouldn't have known that would be the case unless I had tried both. Lots of "good" counterfeits so be careful with the bay. I stick with authorized dealers or the exchange.

I like the wilson combat models no tanto or insingo whatever you get i prefer double lug the wilson models come like this already. I guess im a purist because i dont care for inlays but i recently purchased a large tanked model and it made the cgg grow on me.

Definitely stick with an authorized dealer. Especially until you become very knowledgable with CRK as eBay has Many Fakes and some are very hard to tell. There are many very good dealers that stock CRK that are very well known and provide excellent customer service. You can definitely get one for less than $600 even with a very nice wood inlay.

I highly recommend a large, plane Jane Insingo 21 as your first CRK. It's just the best all around EDC knife (in my opinion), and it's sure to give you a great initial impression of CRK quality. Rest assured that once you try it, you'll want to buy more.

Here are my Insingos. Love them!

I concur that a Large 21 Insingo is a fantastic first CRK. In fact, it is probably my favorite folding knife, being an excellent EDC blade shape.

It's crazy how many people tell me to be aware of EBay for fake knives. It's crap that these countries are flooding the market with this crap. It really makes me feel bad for the knife Makers.
