I just finished using the small blade on my Victorinox Hiker.
I have many other knives in my pockets, but Victorinox models continue to impress me. I usually carry a Spyderco, a Benchmade, or, if I'm feeling special that day, a Sebenza or something in that league, but the cutting performance of these knives is hard to match. High flat grind, very thin edge, distal taper---a budget knife with great edge geometry.
Most everything stays the same for work, except the knife will change day to day.
Granted the 9mm, Leatherman, Rescue hook and Surefire are on my belt. Does that count?
I just got done cutting out new rubber for ping pong paddles with my Kershaw composite bladed ZDP-189 shallot. You're supposed to use a razorblade per paddle, well ZDP works great . The rubber and sponge cushion is tough stuff to cut through.
She works really well too. For everyday general medium duty EDC you really can do any better for the money. And yes, obviously she hasn't done anything too hard yet :jerkit:
I just got the white one just before Christmas . . . Two actually . . .
But I'm still partial to the Tactility models a bit more:
