A Spyderco Sage, and loving it.

Same here!

There were a lot of minor things about the Sage that irked me when I first got it, but it keeps getting more and more pocket time.

I never see anybody else with a Gerber Harsey air ranger like mine......but i love it! great knife....

I always carry the gerber profile with me on my skiing pack...nothing special, simply a 'just in case' knife....

Hey "Revolvergeek" I just picked up a new Kershaw Gents knife and I can't stop playin with it. Just a great classic design with semi modern materials. What are your thoughts on yours and the Barong??? Thanks ~baba~

Overall I like them both very much and have carried them both in my pocket every day since they arrived. The Barong is from the passaround and I am not enjoying the idea of having to mail it off tomorrow. Guess that I may have to pick one up for myself for Valentine's Day :D !

The Barong is light, very fast, carries well in the pocket and pretty comfortable in the hand. I like the foliage green G10, but it does jump out a bit visually when clipped to black or navy pants. It slices well and slashes chunks out of cardboard boxes like there is no tomorrow. I really like how recessed and solid the liner lock is; you have to stick you fingernail down into the opening of the handle to close it. Some folks might not like this, and I expect that it would be a pain with gloves, but it rarely gets cold enough to need them here. I really wish that the lock on the Military and Tenacious was done the same way. I would like it more still if the handle was a little deeper so that I could hold it more securely in a wider variety of grips.

The Gentleman's Folder is very flat and pointy and feels solid in the hand. Much pointier than the knives that I have generally been carrying lately but I find the point to be quite useful. This knife is one of the very sharpest that I ever took out of a box new, with no reprofile or touchup required. At first I worried that it was a little slick, but after using it a few days to cut everything that I can think of it seems plenty secure in the hand. There have been a couple times when I wished that it had a thumbstud, but overall I am quite happy with it. When I find a suitable cord I am going to tie a small fob onto it and call it good.

Regards,
Danny
