What knife just "feels right" in your hand?

The Queen soddie is very comfortable

Also my S&M Cotton Sampler (Swayback frame) and the Wharnie Swayback (Swaybelly frame).
Both are 4 1/4" and the curve at the end fills my hand very comfortablely

I find the stockman pattern to be the most versatile, and prefer a larger handle. The Moore Maker XL fills the bill, and the hand, nicely.

In no particular order, these are the ones that feel right in my hand as they all tend to flow with the curve of my palm.

  • sowbelly
  • dogleg
  • trapper

If I were asked which feels the least right in my hand it would undoubtedly be the swayback. I like the looks of it but it doesn't work for me in the hand. The handle digs into my palm causing a "hotspot". :(

Doglegs Jacks, both my Case/Bose collab and an extra large Mike Tison custom, seem to feel so right in hand. Also the Northwoods muskrat just seems to really work for me. I never would have thought so until actually holding one.

Rick,
Can you tell me about this one?

That looks bit like Schatt & Morgan English Jack knife. I can't be sure though.

Knives that feel right:
GEC # 12 toothpick
GEC # 61 Congress
Queen BF2010 knife Swell center moose
GEC # 73's
Canoes ^^
Queen small Dan Burke Barlow

I have a few that just feel right in the hand

Case/Bose Tribal Spear
Case Swayback Jack
GEC Dogleg Jack
Gary Wiseman front pocket
Uncle Henry 887UH

Teardrop or any Swell ended knife. A single bladed knife usually feels better in the hand, no other blade or tang protrusions....

Nice to see the green version Mike. I've got this and the Chestnut cv both remarkably appealing knives.

Most any large Stockman feels good in my hand. This is a 4 1/8" Schatt & Morgan Squash Jigged Bone Stockman.

It's this Dogleg Jack from GEC for me. At 3 1/2" I can get a nice three finger grip on it, and the "dogleg swell" on the end enhances the grip all the more. 'Course it doesn't hurt that I like Ivory Bone, and the Jack pattern in general. (Thanks Frank - knarfeng - for the heads up on this one!) : http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=801118

What knife feels at home in your hand? Pics, in hand or not, welcome!

My Schrade 8OT fits my hand perfectly. I love it. My Case 6347 fits nice too...and my Voss stockman...ok so large 4 inch stockmans in general fit my hands perfect.
