What knife(s) would you recommend that would add up to 70 dollars?

I have been also looking at the ontario sp2 airforce, since i am a big fan of ontario, and i like the size of it. good knife anyone? or what about the kabar mark 1 navy?

I just got the SP2 last Friday. It is a great knife, I am having trouble getting a good edge but I am a newbie at sharpening. It comes rather dull but from what I hear it can be made excellent. I wish the handle had a hard metal pommel like the regular AF Survival Knife because it could be used as a hammer, sadly the pommel is rubber like the rest of the handle. The grip with the rubber is excellent, even wet. The rest of the knife is great. The shoelace lanyard it comes with is garbage, the sheath isn't very good either.

CRKT Drifter, Kershaw Leek, SOG Flash 1, SOG Aegis or Mini-Aegis, Benchmade Mini-Grip or any combination of those would be good in my book

Thanks alot for your opinion on the knife. I already know how the sheath is on the spec plus knives, and they are not the best, but fine enough for me (they still get the job done). Do you (or anyone else) know any knives similar to these kinds? (blade shape, kraton handle-preferably, size, etc) I have seen the ontario asek, its kind of similar, but just not for me. The kabar mark 1 is pretty nice too. But yea, i am looking for knives like these for the most part.

Got it! I'd recommend:
-Mora Clipper/Companion
-Ontario RAT 1
-Kershaw Drone/Asset/Chill
-CRKT Minimalist
They're all good quality, and represent a variety of different styles. But, it would definitely help if you told me/us what knives you already have. Do you only have large Bowies, or do you have a few folders as well? If you do, then you could probably take the RAT off the list and replace it with something else. And if you happen to already own a few assisted knives, you could forget about the Kershaws, too. And do you have any SAKs or multitools? I kind of assumed you did; everyone's got a few SAKs, and most people have a Leatherman-style multitool lying around. But if you don't, then definitely get one of each.
I don't really know much about either the Ontario or the Ka-Bar you were talking about, but just from a quick glance, I'd go with the Mark 1. Serrations on the cutting edge of a knife are bad enough, I don't see why companies keep feeling obliged to put them on the spine.
I don't have too many knives, but i have the marine raider by ontario, kershaw half ton, kershaw select-fire, and a cheaper winchester bowie (also some cheapo off brands from budk.com...LOL) I have also had the kershaw northside hunter, but i ended it up selling it to a friend. I like kershaws, they give you a lot for your money. I loved the northside hunter especially, and if there is anyone out there with one, they know what i am talking about when i say that it opens smoothly, i just wished it had had a thumb stud.

since you like clips, the sweetest small (ish) fixed clip right now is the Becker BK17, and it comes to around 60$. And since you like Ontarios, you might want to try the bush series ranger 7, can be had under 70 too. More Ontario? sweet, big clip on the SP 5-95 if you can find it, they pop up now and then and below 70 too. Also, the most legendary blade in the world can be found for around 50$ - Ka-Bar USMC. If you can't tell, I'm partial to fixed blades :D

So you already have a few manual openers, then... no need to get another one of those.
-Kershaw Skyline Fixed Blade/Condor Lifeland Hunter/Condor Classic Hunter- You haven't tried any medium sized fixed blades yet. Both the Condors have clip points, which you like.
-Kershaw Tremor- You haven't yet owned a large folder, or an assisted opening one. This takes care of both. And it's Kershaw!
-CRKT Minimalist/any of these/Buck Smidgen/Cold Steel Bird&Trout/Boker Magnum Escape-You've never owned a neck knife.
You didn't answer whether or not you owned any SAKs or multitools, so I assume that's a yes.

Oh, yeah- if you get a Ka-Bar USMC or Mark 1, you could also get either a large folder or a neck knife with it for under $70. But, you couldn't get all three, like if you went with a Kershaw or Condor FB.
