What knife/steel has been your worst sharpening nightmare?

My worst nightmare is the Camillus EDC.

I don't have any idea about why I find it so hard to sharpen. And I'm talking about the belly, not the recurve!

I hope one day I will put a good edge on it again

Oh man. I thought it was just me. I bought a camillus EDC for a friend. It is by far the hardest knife I've ever had to sharpen. This guy is hard on knives too. When I get it, it's chipped and dull as heck. He was a non-knife type that I converted. Gonna have to do a swap or something, this is too much like work.

My worst was by far a Remington 1178 reproduction. Included angle couldn't be a degree short of 70, and the steel wasn't playing along with me. I can get D2 to shave in a minute or two, and S30V in about 10, but that darned thing still isn't sharp.
