What knife storage cases do you guys use?

I recently received a Bills Custom case with a Busse that I bought and would like to buy some more. I looked on 1SKS but could not find any like the one I have, atleast not in it's size. The Cordura with fleece lining and velcro closure. I'm looking for the single ones not the multiple knife ones. In 10" length and up. They have the zippered models but they are three times as expensive as the velcro models. Does anyone know where to find them or recommend any other brands of storage cases that don't put a big dent in the wallet?
 
Bill's are pretty good, if not the best, but you can find them from most knifemaker supply seller...... I think. They will all be pretty good, I think.
I just checked and Texas knife supply has some.
******** I think you will find the best prices going through knife supply shops, OR you might want to try posting in the knifemakers forums.
 
They're really nice cases, but, IMO, they are pricey. Especially when you compare similar items.

I looked around and did find some other cases at better prices. Have any of you ever had a problem with storing your knives in foam lined cases? Any particular kind that have given you problems? The Bill's cases are fleece lined and is soppose to help prevent rust.

I'm going to quote myself. Knifemakers buy and use those cases much more than you or I. I'd like to suggest you bring this question up there. They probably have more insight to answer your question about rust.
 
Old oak machinist's tool boxes make nice storage chests :)

Check out eBay. You might find one at a good price
 
Silas, I'm honestly very surprised to see all those knifemakers recommend Bill's cases, because I've rarely seen knifemakers use them. I'm still going to stick with my guns and say the others are good enough, especially if you protect your knives the right way. (Ren wax, tuff glide, etc.)

One more thing that you might want to do before you make a desicion is to check other manufacturers websites to see what they say and look at construction of other brands.

I did look at it when you first put it up and the only one that I saw was under accessories and held all of the folders. I figured I would double check before I answered your post to keep from :foot: . Who would have thought they would be under gun cases. They look great! I don't think their foam either. The prices are great too. :thumbup: I am going with those. I thank you too Walking man, for insisting there were cheaper alternatives. I might get atleast one Bills for when the Busse Folder comes out. :thumbup:
