What knife to keep on your desk?

I had the idea to keep a folding knife on my desk at home. While I can legally have fixed blades at home, I can't unsheathe a fixed blade one handed easily, so the folder seems practical. I also like the idea of using it as a fiddle toy. Maybe a flicker like a ZT 0450?

Maybe I even rotate, like many do on their EDC. One day it's a flicker, another day it's a sebenza, another day a spyderco. Gives you something to look at cool on the desk, something to play with, and something to use for cutting, for when you don't want to get the knife out of your pocket or maybe you pocket dumped your EDC on your nightstand.

Anyone else do this? Suggestions on what makes a good desk knife?

Forget the 450, get the 452. Now that's a desk knife. Just right for opening letters. :)

Victorinox SwissChamp & a ZT flipper or Benchmade Axis lock knife. Got little desk tasks + fun knife covered.

I keep a CH3504 on my desk, carry it around the house to use it as a beater. Don't mind getting all that lint from my at home sweats and shorts into it. s35vn makes it a good beater. Ceramic bearings make it fun to play with. And full blue anodized titanium handle. And it was inexpensive at $70 or so. Just some quality I don't mind playing with and beating up. Must have flipped it a couple hundred times by now and its as centered as when I got it.

Alox cadet so as not to scare the coworkers. :D:) Usually two more on my person, as well as two in the bag and one in the console of the car.

I'm pretty sure youur coworkers will appreciate you flipping a balisong loudly and occaisionally letting it slip from your hand and go careening into the next cubical.

I'm obviously joking. I do like to play with my baliyo in class though, much to my teacher's chagrin.

I've seen a few videos about those. Have you used and sharpened it much? Do you think it's real S35VN?
I normally leave a few knives at my desk. A SAK, a 2" friction folder I made from spare parts, and an Ozark Trail Wood handled knife from the 2016 holiday run. That one is surprisingly fun to fiddle with.

I tend to leave a crkt eros ss on my desk. The clip sucks on it and well the only stuff it tends to cut is letters of packing tape...

I have to admit that I typically pull out whatever I am EDCing and plop it on my desk.

It makes it easier to molest.

The knife.

I've used it for minor things around the house. Mostly package opening. I've only touched it up once on a sharpmaker if I remember correctly. The ease of touching it up is consistent with s35vn. Based on the edge retention and the sharpness, seems in line with the real stuff. So I am inclined to believe it is. But that is the extent of what I can tell you

A Kershaw Shuffle on my desk at home. After a hard day at work I use it to open a well deserved beer.

usually an Opinel or thin-edged slipjoint, a SAK and a Multitool,

the modern OHO folder is always on my person

I keep an unsheathed Jeff Tate kiridashi on my desk. It lays flat, is perfect for opening letters or boxes, and the cats don't mess with it because they already have superior weaponry.

I'm on a Mini Bodega kick lately so that is what I would recommend. Nice to look at and great action checks your boxes.
