What knife were you carrying when....??

Firstly congratulations.

I was carrying my Wedding Date Umnunzaan when my daughter was born.

On a related note, I recently got a Large Seb CCG with her birthdate as a future 18th bday gift for her.

I suddenly realized we have the same last name........ where was my Large Seb on my 18th birth day huh???? lol

thats awesome, she is incredibly lucky

I was carrying a large sebenza. In hindsight it probably wasnt the best knife to venture to the west side of chicago with, but a knife that big is probably a requirment.

Thank you for having the knife closed, unlike another member here (don't remember who) that posted an open knife next to his infant child [shudder]. Anyway, I probably had my CRKT M16 with me for my first, and my Kershaw OD-1 for the other two. I don't specifically remember.

Yeah.......that sucker is sharp. Like 8000 grit sharp. If it had snapped close, it might have lopped her little baby digits clean off.

I was doing the final hookups on the mobile home we had put on our 7 1/2 acres it was the first night in the place and my wife went into labor that morning, didn't even have the phone hooked up, has to drive 14 miles to my mom's junkyard to call the doctors.

I still had my work pants on in my pocket was a Buck 186 Titanium folder, still have it, my daughter was born later that night at 6:30.

Thanks everyone! Me and my wonderful wife welcomed our little Sofia into the world at 4:16 pm! Healthy as a horse!

I was carrying my beloved GEC #15, which I got off this forum. What an amazing day!

Thanks again for the well wishes and what not! I really enjoyed hearing all of your responses!

Congrats! Its been awhile but I'm pretty sure that a Kershaw Scallion was my EDC for those years.

My first was a case. I don't remember the name, but it had a single long skinny blade that was really sharp. I lost it. The second was a broker tree brand folder that I still have. My third was a SAK trout that I still have. I'm done.

I didn't realize how many young people were a part of the blade forums! I'm also 14, and I was carrying my Kershaw Leek when my little sister was born. I cut the umbilical cord, just not with the Leek:p

I say buy two identical models, one with pink scales, one with gray scales, or blue. When she grows up, hand her the gray one, representing you, and you keep the pink one, representing her

Congrats to you and your wife for the little blessing!
