What knife would u buy if you are allowed to buy only 1 knife for the next 1 year?

LMFAO..... :D :D :D

Seriously though...Probably a Emerson waved CQC-8 titanium framelock customized by Reese Weiland, with a nice braided thong.

It would definitely be the new Midnight Death Mall Ninja Slicer Assasin with a straight edge, drop point in SH1T-101 steel, framelock black coat, with built-in GPS, and a secret chamber for spare change and complete PSK. ;) :D

It would have to be a custom Bowie! Spend 1 month on drawing it; refining it; changing it, again. Then hope your favorite knifemaker can make it in the next 11 months!:D

Only one knife? Maybe I would finally buy that Microtech SOCOM Elite I've been "considering" for the past two years.

Either that or Spyderco "anything". On second thought, to me Spydercos are like chips...you can't stop at one. :D

this is a seriously hypothetical question. Seeing as I just bought a knife about 10 minutes ago on a knee-jerk whim, it ain't gonna happen. Well, if I had one choice, it would be A Terry Primos dress tac. I actually have one on order for next year and I already cannot wait.

I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to buy any, because the lawyer fees for my divorce would eat up all of my funds....

This is a tough question, and for the opposite reason than most people here. To tell you the truth, I'm pretty happy with the knives I've got. I spent the last year learning what I really use my knives for, and made very careful purchases. I decided what my preferred methods of carry are, and what design aspects really float my boat. I got honest with myself about how large a knife I really need. I have no knife buying plans right now. I am oddly content and confident in what I have. Something is seriously wrong with me!!!!

If I were to buy another knife this next year, it would have to be a serious upgrade from something I already own. It would need to be as functional as what I already use, yet a treasure to own. Something like a Fowler Pronghorn, or maybe a Tony Huffman swell center whittler.

with all the money saved up from not buying any other knives in that year i'd probably end up with some sort of custom.. maybe something from Aaron Frederick or Allen elishewitz

Who said anything about making my dream knife? I just said I make knives, takes up too much time an money to go buyin any. And I finally did have a few turn out good enough to be moved into the rotation as my main EDC's, but I'm still not happy with what I got :D

You've got the right idea... If I had to sit back and choose one - well, I just got it and Terry's work is not only worth waiting for, but it could well be the only little fixed blade you'd need for everything but fine skinning chores... and I think it could do that too, as it's the same size as my Fisk Sendero Hunter!

Try the link - I call mine "Smoke"... :D

Hopefully some of you will be wiser when you spend your money.
After pondering all your views, I am going to be more careful in my buying habits - i.e. hold on to a longer time before buying and buy a custom instead of tons of cheap knife ( not necessary no good ). Ha Ha Ha Ha

are we talking production or dream?

6" civilian-type blade, but beefed up to have a stronger point...
cobalt based steel
g-10 handles, heavy crosshatch pattern
FIXED BLADE
Normark leg hoster...

well?
