Greetings everyone. This is my first post, and it'll be about recommendations.

In my country, there's very strict laws, when it becomes to knives. :grumpy:

Max blade length: 2.75 inches (7 cm.)
No switchblade or anything where you're capable of opening with a single hand.
It has to be a folding knife.
No locking system.

Around 100$ more or less.

Thank you for reading this. :)

Sincerely,
Addoxication

Without hesitation, I would recommend a GEC #33 Conductor. A clip and a pen blade sharing a single backspring provide plenty of cutting edge while the main blade is a cop/judge friendly 2 1/2". A true gentleman's knife you can effortlessly carry regardless of your dress. Not scary to strangers, beautiful fit and finish, and as worthy as a favored watch when it comes to a pass down family heirloom that most sons and grandsons would cherish as "this was my Dad's..."

At least that's my opinion.:D

how about a spyderco UKPK? I wonder what they consider one handed opening. I have big hands and the small spydercos with thumbholes a a nightmare to open one handed.

How about a Boker Plus Sub-com? Also comes in a slip-joint version.

I'm carrying Recon 1 in Chicago so you will be fine anywhere else I think. Just be smart with it.

Since the question stated "no one hand opening" very clearly, I would have to agree with the Victorinox or the Opinel.

I carry a Victorinox Waiter every day, regardless of what else I have on my person.

The Waiter has a nice spear point blade capable of almost any typical cutting task, a bottle and can opener with screwdriver which I regularly use to open both cans and bottles, a corkscrew, which has come in very handy on some occasions, and finally a very functional tweezers and a toothpick.

Don't leave home without it!

Spyderco makes several modernish slip joints if that's the route you want to go, check out the Slipit (I think that'swhat it's called). Barring that check out Case, GEC or any traditional maker. A nice Barlow is a great edc, I've had them from Boker, Russell, Queen and a couple other makers. Great pattern. A Case XX Sodbuster Jr might fit your needs. I am also fond of friction folders. Snody makes a fine one. A custom higonokami would be nice too. More than you're looking to spend though.

Or,you could go with a good traditional pocket knife.Anything from Case,Buck,Queen,Boker,or GEC would be a good place to start.

You don't like Swiss army knives? You are one of a kind! Did you ever have one? You could get a one blade, although a 4 blade alox would make you change your mind.
You could also get any size of Opinel and remove the Vibrolock.
I have both and like them a lot. What I don't have but I would like to is a Trapper, Stockman or Congress, similar to those Case sells. They would suit you I guess. Multi blades seem less "tactical" than single blades, Opinel excluded.

Are you in Denmark by any chance :D! I'd recommend a Swiss Army Knife (what I carry whenever I'm in the hot dog capital of the world) or a Casexx or any other nice cowboy folder.

The Spyderco 3 Bug Slipit Set would be a great option for you I think. On Amazon it is listed as "3 Bug Slipit Set SS Plain Edge"

You can check out the Spyderco UKPK and the Squeak. You can tighten down the pivot such that you cannot open it with one hand.

They are still knives built as one-hand openers. It would be foolish to try and sneak by on some technicality. Even if you have tightened it down so you can't easily open it, once that peace officer takes it away from you and starts playing with it in the car/on his break (oh yes :D), there is no assurance it will still be a tight pivot on the day you are to appear and explain to authorities that it's no a one-handed knife.
