What knife would you use in a survival scenario?

If you were in a 72 hr+ off grid survival scenario what one knife would you trust to fill the role of a survival knife? To make kindling, to prepare food, make a spear, make a shelter or to battle a zombie (just kidding with that last part). I personally would trust the TOPS silent hero. Looking forward to hearing your feedback!

Shelter is considered to be #1, hypothermia can kill you faster than dehydration!

It depends on the type of disaster. Bigger threats could include zombies, killer robots, aliens, mutants, fellow humans via mass psychosis or brain fever pandemic, giant crabs, etc.

This is where all those knives can stab through car hoods might come in handy.

The A1 instantly comes to mind.

It will be all of the above, at once. 😂
Then I will be all in halberds.

How does one plan a a survival situation with just the right knife and stuff? Does this happen often? Maybe I need to get out more often.

Lol, I’m going with what I have with me at that moment. I usually have my Buck Vantage pro and a 303 cadet on me edc. Sometimes it’s a 110 sport pro.

Otherwise if I’m planning a trip out in the boonies I will take a bunch of knives and tools to use to see whatever works best!

Another vote for the Becker BK9. I haven’t been camping or backpacking in years but when I was young I used to take very little with me. It was one of my favorite weekend activities when I was about 10-20 years of age, usually in the mountains surrounding the family farm at 2200ft in northeastern WA state. Plenty of dry wood around. I’d pack a tarp and a sleeping bag, first aid, water, snacks, cable saw, and original Leatherman. I don’t recall ever using the Leatherman. I think a BK9 could easily do the job of both, if I ever took up backpacking again, but I’m afraid I’ve become too domesticated at this point. The wife likes to be comfortable. 😅
