What knives always find their way back into your pockets?

Like most, I've developed a pretty much regular rotation of a few that I carry at least a couple time a week. Roughly 3" - 3.5" blade length is what I like. But the one that I surprisingly keep getting drawn back to every once in a while is the Dragonfly. Just such a capable knife despite its small size.

This Damned Thing. My uncle gave it to me as a present. If it ever breaks, I won't get another one. Only value is sentimental.

But dang if it doesn't end up in the pocket on the way out the door more often than it should.

Kershaw Scallion also worms its way into the pocket, bag or cup holder for the day sometimes.

Nice Razor Trapper. :)

Nice Razor Trapper. :)

I gotta hand it to my Uncle... this thing gets absolutely stupid sharp, and the "razor" is actually a useable shape.

I'll never part with it, and it will probably always hang around and be part of the rotation.

Damn the luck.

All my users get rotated through, but there are those that I feel bad about letting sit for too long.

Those would probably be my

Imperial peanut
Imperial Barlow
Vic recruit
Vic pocket pal

( Didn't want to end up listing every knife so I went by " pocket " and left out belt knives )
Like the knives, but would like the listen to the Fogerty even more.

Imo It's a great album , it's got a few new songs and the rest are classic fogerty / ccr songs performed with other artists. He wrote the songs originally, recomposed them for the album, and choose the perfect people to sing them with him who he knew were just right for each song. You can look the album up on YouTube it's called wrote a song for everyone.
He sings who'll stop the rain with Bob Seger, have you ever seen the rain with Allan Jackson. ( One of the best versions ) , born on the bayou with kid rock, Lodi with his 2 sons and others.

Now just to keep this on track with some knife content, here's 2 more knives that always finds their way back into my pocket at some point.

Out of curiosity how are those Buck knives? I've never got a chance to try that style of Buck.

That razor trapper is gorgeous can it be one arm jack opened?

Well they don't have any sort of hidden liner or anything so that could be a problem for people who are used to prying with a Spyderco, but I think think they're great lightweight EDC blades for 20$ or under and made in the USA.
For all intents and purposes the bucklite max and bantam series knives are the same, however in the full sized blades I find the bantams handles to be ugly.

I love my 482 bucklite max and carried it every single day for 3 years ( in my pocket right now ) without issue.
And the 283 nano bantam I think is better than the 425 minibuck which was my first buck and carried for years. It's handle affords much more access to the blade for opening, and actually costs 11$ vs the about 15$ of the 425.
The curve of the 283's handle may feel a bit cramped if you hold it for a long time and really think about it, but it's still fairly ergonomic.
In general the lock up is pretty solid, they're not super gritty when you open them, ( may need a break in, but I can't remember ) and with the 482 it's got a nice solid deep carry pocket clip and good ergonomics.
I'd say that you wouldn't be disappointed with you're 20$ purchase if you bought one, even if it just got delagated to you're toolbox or tacklebox.

Thank you, that was a great review. Might have to try am out I'm on a lightweight knife kick.

Always have my plain Jane small Sebenza 21.

The rest get changed around based on what my day holds.

I have an entire selection of second tier must haves but that's another thread or post. ;)

I went to town today and discovered that I had forgotten to clip on my Vic Rambler, which I normally always carry. :( Thank goodness I wasn't called upon to open any bottles! :p Fortunately I did remember to pocket my Case 6344 medium stockman, which I pulled out and fondled while listening to the speaker at a meeting. :D There's just something about the feel of jigged bone...

Have to say that lone wolf/ loveless is really nice

I think the bucklite max series is still available, I know it was a decent sized line with 3 different sizes of folder with and without studs and clips .( not sure the large was available without a stud ) there was also a fixed blade and all were available in a few handle colors as well as with black coated blades, so i don't think they would just drop the whole line.

What's really nice is I can pinch it open one handed very easily. Also it's a great slicer for eatin' with, nice thin flat ground blade. It's a very friendly piece.

Yeah that's nice i bets it's great to slice cheese and summer sausage or a pear.

Victorinox Tourist, basically it's an 84mm version of the Spartan. My kids call it my "lucky knife," as it was in my pocket for all three of their births and during a few successful jobs interviews over the years. I've had it for around 15 years or so.

I try to rotate through most of my folders every couple months, except my beginner cheap knives that I don't carry anymore except to use as beaters/throwaways.

Currently I've been daily carrying my Kizer Feist, it's a great office/EDC knife and I have beaters at work in case I need something heavier duty.

I have a PM2 and Swick 3 that are freshly sharpened and on their way back to me, I'll probably carry both for a week or so and then rotate. After that it's probably my Techno, Manix 2 plane Jane, Native 5, and modded ZT0450. All with a Dfly2 G-10 as a backup.

A leatherman PS4 is always in my pocket. I almost always pair it with another blade. When I'm off the property, the other is a small CRK Sebenza. When on the property it's a fixed blade on the belt, so not technically in any pocket.

I'm seriously looking for a smaller fixed blade to pocket.

i've had the same folder in my pocket for a little over 10 years now - a buck mayo cutback that was a groomsmen gift from a close friend. its got some meaning, and i've grown to love it.

not in pocket, but usually with me is the Old Timer folding hunter that was my dads
